I was in the astral last night (yeah, I finally learned the ropes... still getting my sea legs, though), and I was in the presence of this young lovely woman (she could have been a lady from the Kabbala pathworking I have been doing, or it could have been a waitress, it is all really blurry). I say some kind words to her, and she tosses a crystal at me. I catch in, and then I work my way back out of the area, to my temple. I place the crystal on my altar, assuming I will toy with it later as a tool to exercise my astral sense of touch with.

Later that night, I picked it back up from my altar, and I did indeed feel this chunk of crystal (rough and uncut) in my hand... as if it were physical. Until, that is, my hand ate it.

Yes, my hand ate it. I felt it travel into my arm and into my chest, with a slight jolt of pain. Shaken and slightly disturbed, I returned to the physical, both curious and confused.

Any ideas as to the significance of this?

Well, considering crystals are known for having healing powers, I'd like to ask if you've had any physical sicknesses or other problems as of late? Also the fact that it went to your chest is very interesting. Do you smoke by any chance?

Nope (I'm only sixteen...). As a matter of fact, I got sick to the stomach later that night (which was irritated by some dizzying astral observations I made at about one or so in the morning involving a compass and someone else's temple), so the notion of healing has came up a few times today, but I haven't been able to buy it.

I believe it was the lady inside the cave behind the waterfall that I found on the path to Yesod that gave me the crystal. Some people will probably know who I am talking about, and others will just think I'm crazy (both are valid).

Maybe that crystal that you recieved from her gave you some "power" in some way. You can probably find out what it is if you ask her again or do something else. Not sure really, just throwing out ideas right now.

Well, I had one of those dream memories that hit you out of nowhere. In Wal-Mart, of course.

I remember being in a decayed astral version of my aunt's house in this dream. And I had a good idea that I was in the astral, and I was very *into* the dream... very immersed. Well, I figured I would get some practice with manuvering and such in this new environment. I stared into the living room at an open medicine cabinet and thought, "I want that cabinet to shut" Without an effort on my part, it eased itself shut. She had groceries on the counter, and I willed the container of bleach to come to me, and it did in the same manner.

I know that sounds really elementary, but for someone who was getting nausea because they couldn't control their movements in the astral (the environment was spinning around me, I kept falling, I couldn't do anything without going topsy-turvy) that is pretty darn good. I haven't lucid dreamed in almost a year, until last night.... in that dream.

I also had a dream that I took my father's SUV at three in the morning to a park in North Mississippi (that doesn't exist), and I was also very immersed in that dream. I never really went lucid, but it felt physical (I could feel the bumps on the road, feel humidity ect.).

I am just throwing ideas around.

Well at the risk of sounding paranoid. I would take it a little seriously. Often entities give gifts and they are not always "blessings". In my experience when an encountered being gives you something it is best to decline it as most of the time it is something that is absorbed into your aura and can have ill effects. Not always but I guess I don't toy around and take things from beings I don't know So it is possible that you absorbed part of the entity you encountered...I'd try to find out what the entity is.
