Greetings, this is my first post in this section so hi to all of you here!
Now, i may have a problem and im unsure where to look for advice (search results confused me even more when i tried). I've done alot studying. As a newcommer to occult i in my foolishness have tried bit of everything and was forced to take a little brake due to the confusion. But something frightened me 2 days ago when i was about to go to sleep. Mindlessly i was staring at one of my bedroom wall, probably thinking of something when i noticed something disturbing on that wall. It was similar effect to when hot air is comming from some firesource and makes the air upon it kind of shiver. At first it was barely visible but the more i looked, the clearer it became. It scared me alot. So first of all i would like to get some advice on that, was that my imagination or something else, after little thinking i thought it was some sort of energy. But the whole excperience like triggered something else. Yesterday i sensed a presents of something in my room which i could not see nor explain. I had a strange feeling which was similar to excitement and anxiety where the the heart starts beating faster and faster. I would be very greatful if i'd get some help, i feel like im going mad and it would be the last thing i would like

Sorry, i wasn't clear enough then. I would like some help to perhaps understand what i saw and what is happening. I know there are much wiser people out there who might have some ideas what my excperience was about. To me it seems as if i really saw some sort of energy or am i just going insane. I can't make a difference because im not educated enough on energies and a-like.

Or here's a thought. Perhaps there's an entity in your room. Have you tried contacting it??? maybe try a Oujia Board or hold a Seance. Use http://www.Google.ca.

Start with the simplest and most mundane of reasons to see visual distortions while looking at a wall....it looked like the atmospheric distortion that you see in the distance on a hot day....is there a heat source on along that wall?
If not, move to the next possibility...is the a foul odor in your room? Gases of different density will cause a visual distortion when you are looking at them...if you have some sort of gas leak in your room, that could be bad...but that is probably not the case, because if you had a gas leak in your room, you'd probably be dead by now...
Next, if it isn't caused by differing air densities from gas or heat, it could be a distortion caused by poor night vision and sheer tiredness....I myself often have moments where my eyesight is briefly blurred for no appearant reason, but I have bad eyesight anyway..
...lastly what I can think, and possibly the most likely cause for the visual distortion that I can think of, it very well could simply be an effect of a slight shifting of consciousness...for example, with myself, when I go to bed, I usually stare at the ceilling, usually one of the lights that is turned off. I have a few slight light sources in the room, so my room is never pitch black, usually I have a zen fountain bubbling in the background...anyhow...as I stare at the ceilling or the wall, wherever, as I am usually trying to concentrate for a while before I go to bed...trying to meditate or go astral(neither of which I think I get very far in doing)...but anyhow, though I can't make out anything on the surfaces because I have horrible eyesight, the light sources seem to switch...everything will sometimes grow darker, except for the point that I'm staring at, and sometimes things go totally black or almost totally black while my eyes are open, sometimes it'll be like black cloud is moving around along the walls....Imagine that if I wasn't so blind, it would look more like the squiggley distortion you see on a hot day along the highway....

Maelthra, use the search button up above to look for threads regarding sleep paralysis and the hallucinations that sometimes accompany it. I don't think you have anything to worry about. A banishing might ease your mind a bit...

I belive the energy absorption worked. The shivering layer is gone.
Is it possible that these kind of odd occurrence are well how to put it, normal when practising Psi?

I've had a similar experience prior to my interest in the occult. (Minus the feeling of a presence) I was looking at my ceiling and doing mediatation when suddenly it looked like the ceiling was boiling and had a similar look to a heat source. (but the house didn't have any heating like that and there was no dense gas to compensate.)
Personally, I think it's a hallucinisation brought about by relaxing your eyes. Sort of like those sheets of moving static whenever you close your eyes.
