astral projection during energy manipulation

A few days ago I was working on forming a sort of forcefield around myself, and I was doing this on the second floor of my house. Now, I've always had a tendency to astrally project without necessarily intending to, and while I was working on the section of the sphere that extended through the floor underneath me, I projected and felt like I was falling through the floor, which scared me back, and then I lost my sphere.

Anybody else out there ever have a similar occurrence?

I tend to project a lot without meaning to and especially when I'm concentrating very hard on something, and frankly, it can be a bit of a pain in the ass. Is there a way to make myself less prone?

yep, ive unexpectedly enden up on the first story of my house as well. haha.
not sure how to avoid it tho, except more practice...
