(Spin off) Whats that by my bed ???

Post by Occult Forum Archive »

Ok, I just typed up this very same topic only to have it time out on me and i lose the data so to make a long story short.

I notice figures when im in "sleep paralysis". what are they ??? it's usually one solo figure dark in color

recently, last week i notice a new figure. it was swigly and white

I also hear loud clicks coming from the corner, or loud noises, when im in sleep paralysis.

Also once I heard two voices, one in a low continuious conversation and everytime i would attempt to talk to it another one in my opposite ear would almost Yell to counter what ever I was about to say.

what the heck are these, are these the "astral parasites" i heard about ?

Ah, be sure it's not carbon menoxide. There are seriouse cases that are very well documented that start out just like this.

Eh... also that crap killed my grandfather on my mom's side.

I've experienced similar things in sleep paralysis- a towering shadowy figure, a glowing white orb, my name being whispered, and so on. In my experience these things are harmless and probably meaningless, even hallucinations. Like the Dweller on the Threshold I mentioned in Ognamus' thread, they are common side-effects of entering the hypnogogic or trance state, or precursors to astral projection. If you have regular sleep paralysis my advice would be to stay calm and try to breathe deeply- this may wake you up, or send you out-of-body. Either way, nothing to be worried about.

Creepy.

I have done some work in hospice care and research on NDE's, and a single dark figure at the foot/side of the bed is something of a reoccuring theme. I can think of at least one account where the entity was distinctly malevolent, but I don't know if it is in all cases.

You think that these entities "exist" upon the energy released or gathered around the starting-phase of astral projection or sleep paralysis ?

Read yer post outta context...so forgive me if I'm WAY off here...

The entities that surround you are many & varied especially when you are trying for AP. Some are there becuase others are there & they just wanna see what's up. Others are there to help, some are there for feeding. Some may be loved ones checking up on you, others may be there to watch...this list can go on & on...

it is your job to figure out which are which and which ones can assist you. If you ask, and if you are lucky, one of them will help to seperate your 'selves' allowing the transition to AP easier.

Try communicating with these spirits...banish the negitive ones while encouraging the benificial ones. Yeah...it may get kinda complex at times but if you can figure it out you'll be all the better for it. But as long as you are not being harmed in anyway I'd not fret it. Them being there & the "sleep paralysis" are both normal things.

When it comes to intelligent life forms there are but two pieces of motivation. Boredom, and hunger. Just remember that, heh.

These things are all common to sleep paralysis. The dark figure is commonly reported, although I have never seen it. It's classified as a hallucination by scientists. The clicking noises you hear are rapid inner ear movements. The voices I've never heard about, though.
