Head on a platter

Say hypothetically...your being haunted or..er...having a POWERFUL negative force raining down fire and brimstone on your life (Lets say a nec entity) and you decided to go to the astral to fight it...i'm curious, would you get your head handed to you, or would it be an even situation due to the whole 'thought is action' thing. Or even something less than a necronomicon creature. Just in general something more powerful than the rest...goetic, angel...take your pick.

Well, lets say hypothetically, you are doubting yourself (as seems to be the case in your post) then I'd say most certainly...even the weakest of astral nasties would tear you a new one (or three).

I'd REALLY suggest getting the basics of energy work down including Grounding, Centering, and Shielding. Then run out & grab yourself a few handy banishings (lord's prayer, LBRP, whatever is handy...it's best to have a few) and maybe a few bindings.

But most importantly BELIEVE in yourself!

Should you go in prepared even the gods may be taken aback by your shear force of will.

Oh! nono, my post came off wrong. I am confident about going in...i got my moves ready and i've got my ideas set on what to do and what not to do. I'm not afraid of entitys...well..being a nuisance, just curious about whether or not a necronomicon entity could totally demolish me if i happened to come across one. (Just curious about how strong exactly a human can be in the astral...is therea limit to what you can/can't do?)

Also, i've been getting my extra curricular work done too, shieldings and what not (which i do before bed or attempting astral travel to keep me content and such)

Perhaps I'm wrong, and anyone please correct me if I'm wrong, but the Necronomicon is a creation of H.P. Lovecraft, and its "ancient gods" are actually "fictional." Though, pop culture could very well have made them "real." Which could very much mean that they are only as powerful as you allow them to be...or perhaps a culmination of those who believe in them, allow them to be....

That being said...I wouldn't want to run into Cthulhu, even if he was in the form of a cute litte plush doll....nor would I want to run into Pazuzu

Try ignoring it. Putting all this energy and attention into it only makes it stronger, whether it be real or imagined. As a side note, what do you mean by "i got my moves ready"?

You can say Lovecraft created it, but the sources where he got them from were credible and about ancient magick. Qryz has his lesson about it well learnt, so anyone correct me if wrong too.
