What is energy manipulation?

I'm confused on this and wouldd apreciate it if you can clear it up.

I recently learnt how to make psi balls and can see them now, chanmge there shape. I heard that they can manipulate energy, but how is this done and what is is it for?

Uh, a psiball IS a manipulation of energy. The same way you form one, you can push energy around. It's good for damn near anything -- lesser magick, sigils, magnetism, thought manipulation, healing, combat, whatever.
