Astral Feelings While Awake

Hey everyone I have a question.

Lately my spirituality has increased and I have been trying to make contact with certain deities. I don't know whether this has anything to with it.

I astrally projected once in my life. I came out about two feet from my body and felt like I was in a bubble. A drunken bubble. I was floating and could stand on my own. But I tipped over at the drop of a hat. I felt like there was some undetectable wind forcing me around.

Since last night I've had that same feeling, but I've been awake.

Last night I became sleepy WAY before I usually go to bed. When I got up to lock the door, I felt the invisible wind again. I kind of floated to the door and literally fell unto it. I had to hold myself up. It took my like five minutes to convince myself I was actually awake.

All today I've been floating around. My head feels like it's expanding. Every time I make a movement, there's a little bounce to it. If I lean against a wall, I fall against the wall. Very gently I will slide to the floor.

This is freaking me out a tad, but I seem to be very calm.

It feels like a marijuana high, times 10.

So...is this normal? I've always been afraid to try astral projection again but maybe I should. I might as well, it feels like I already am.

BTW, there's no physical reason for these symptoms. I'm well rested, not ill, and haven't had any sort of intoxicant.

Liza, I'm having the same thing. For about 2 weeks now. and I've been practising AP for over twenty years. Recently I'm just having weird experiences. I wonder if there is something going on that causes the sensitive to react like this? Anyone else?

Nothing while awake (unless you call light-headedness from lack of FOOD a near OOBE *smirk*)

However a few nights ago I laid down to go AP and as soon as I closed my eyes I achieved it. Of course it freaked me out so bad I jumped back to reality.

Maybe it's in the stars *shrug*

I also feel like an AP may come on suddenly. Like I may just fall over, and be in one.

A minute ago I heard someone talking to me. It took me a while to realize that it was the song I was listening to.

I was having lunch in a nice Ottawa establishment a few days ago when i felt like I was simulatneously walking around in California, and then talking with a person I have never met. It was like my legs were detached from my body, I had a hard time not panicking. then I found I actually wanted - badly - to be in California with this person and it was a major struggle to stay in my body.

I was thinking I might be morphing in and out of a parallel reality.

Feranaja, I really thought it was just me. I'm glad it's not. But now more than ever I wonder what it could be. I thought maybe the full moon was getting to me.

I have started, besides the song, to have minor auditory hallucinations. When I was laying down, all by myself in the house, I kept hearing someone in the room next to me. I hear them walking, and knocking on the wall. Usually I would be scared, but I just told them to be quiet.

My dad told me something and had to repeat it maybe 15 times. I just couldn't comprehend it. Then he coughed and I though I heard some sort of animal.

Even my poor little dog is acting weird around me.

Liza, don't rule out that the phenomena we're experiencing are totally unrelated. You might need to have a physical all the same. My dogs only act strangely when something external is involved, so that's a sign you could use a good banishing. Are you normally extra sensitive? Have you tried doing grounding exercises?

Yeah, I won't.

My dog isn't acting scared, just a little different. He seems to want to sit with me today, instead of running around like he usually does. He still seems happy and content though. Could just be because my neighbors are fighting.

I'm not normally very sensitive, at least I don't think I am. Sometimes I block stuff out because it just scares me. But now I am open to a lot it seems.

I haven't done anything that may have brought bad spirits or energy in, so I don't know if banishing would help. Might be good for protection. I don't feel the presence of any sort of evil.

The only activity I have been doing lately is meditating on my chakras. It really seems to have helped me. Especially with my third eye. It feels like it's expanding.

I've also been trying to contact certain Egyptian deity, but just through meditation.

I actually feel at peace.

I too have felt this light feeling lately. Like Im floating as I walk...I noticed it a few weeks ago though. Its like Im closer to the astral or something. I dunno...
I figured it was just a side effect of the datura

I do like how you discribed it as a' A drunken bubble.' Thats excactly how I felt...I kept spinning and spinning from a slight wind and I could only stop it by rising in a christ like way. It centered me and I rose up in light. Then the wind hit me and I flew drunkenly through the wall. hehe I felt like the try hard super hero in that old 80's show..The Greatest American Hero.

that used to happen to me all the time. i used to describe it as feeling as though one is 'existing in two worlds' at the same time. I think some call it colocation or bilocation.

I can understand this too. I have been getting a feeling of falling out of my body in places. like up at the mall or even at school. Also not to sound really off my rocker, I feel like float when I walk like my feet never hit the ground anymore. For me this has begun about two years ago, so I don't know if it is related. it has however become more frequent. to the point where when I walk I get painiced that I am trying to fly away. *large sigh* can everyone else AP at any given time but not lose full concsiousness of their physical body?

I am still new to the occult and I have much to learn. I've never had an out of body experience (consiously). However I have been having the same lighthead feeling for nigh on 2 months now. I think mostpeople are feeling it. I don't know what's going to happen but 2012 is coming fast so I think there's alot of sudden untaped energy. I also experience this feeling after I ground. It could just be an off ballance of energies. I don't know.

More people are relizing there is more to this world than the straight and narrow.
There are more people each day saying they belive in the AP. That they really feel it exists. some people it starts with a hightened awareness others, a constant buzzing and other who do it subconsciously.

Even more so there are people who have tried to project and cannot do it. Some how the Ap on certain levels becomes both a gift and a curse. For me... It's a gift.

2012 is given as the year of well the END.. in many books..

Is that true, I do not know. I do know this much something big is happening. Think about it... the large flux of energy, the abiity to call forth Astral beings on the physical plane.. Astral feelings while awake.. (Anyone else got a feeling the planes are trying to merge to save it's self?? )

planes remerging. LMAO. yes get that feeling many times. I often associate the flux of access to astral as being akin to the greatest urban legend in the magical community .. the 'breakdown' of the veil. A good friend and exbf of mine once described it as a massive concentration of contact with watchtowers, guardians, elementals, etc. as slowly chipping away at this concept of a veil so much that eventually it would be similar to Samhain everyday. Now while i kind of like that concept, i can see other sides to it but really when you think about it, everyone does it. Now while some call upon entities that they believe exist (gods, spirits, etc), others are calling forth entities they've designed (sigils, servitors). Some ppl seem to express fear and confusion at the idea of there existing no divide between realms - although i don't see why that's all that bad a thing.. but there is a great uprising of people who direct their energy through various forms - from an anthropological standpoint, people of all religions (including those who prefer the title 'spirituality') are evoking change on this level (and perhaps others). And those of us who experience standing upon the threshold of two worlds, perhaps someday that is how it will feel for everyone.

I think 2012 will bring into focus a shift or change that while we may begin to feel parts of it now, many of us aren't expecting and maybe even one that will drive many mad. But we all know that in order to survive we have to adapt. So I say, bring it on.

So then what would you label the flux if the only "logical" explaination is that there is a divide? Also how is it that some people can access the planes while others cannot. I could see if it was the mere fact that it was in everyone, and that some chose to ignore it, or just not give a crap but this is their life too.. Yah know?

Sure I am not the most informed person in the universe, but there has got to be something or someone blocking access to people ? ( That much I know, else why would people be looking for all sorts of crazy techniques in order to be able to project? ) If the veil does not exist then is it people themselves are blocking themselves with fear of the unknown??

Anway.. be what ever it may.. Thanks for pointing that out to me.
