Music can help you attain the gnosis
But, at the highest levels of gnosis, your ears will not hear music no matter how loud.
You must chose your musicians wisely, like your lovers
They can help you
But the answer is, music aids in transcendence so long as there is love between artist and observer, but, in my experience, the music and celebration seem to just go silent and stop, while there is a transcendental moment of union of one with all.
(So long as you entertain union of one with the many, the music provides assistance or trouble depending on the love between artist and observer, like I said.)
There is a quiet underlying music, the voices of angels, that speak beneath the huge crowd. Something in the music reaches into dimensions which we cannot see.

physical things can be of assistance but gnosis is ment to forsake them.(for a moment) loud music, belly dancers, drungs, the news, your mother in law
it does not matter, you can still reach the gnosis with all these thingsin the same room screaming at you. taugh it may be harder. Find what works well for you.
