Never in my occult rituals, unless you count getting piss drunk and blacking out for hours at a time amongst them...

In my opinion that would be--at worst, dangerous, and in the least a fruitless endeavor. Dependance on anything outside the triune of body/mind/spirit is--in effect--a reduction of power and potential. Yes, the feeling on the other hand... The emotional and physical body. It's almost like you're aflame with power one is not normally familiar with in the sober states of consciousness. But it is all a trick, it is merely a point before one's eyes. The things I swear I could've done with cocaine. The fear, all but obliterated. Yet, ...it was all for naught. The effects wear off too soon. The power fades... taking your own amassed energy with you. Nothing with such limitations can hold any prolonged sense of worth.

I view cocaine, and all other forms of earthly chemical influence as allies, or demons...

The Dark Side, if you will.

Theirs is the quick path. With them you feel powerful. You feel as if you can do anything. (If one chooses to recognize this fact, alas it seems as if the majority of our planet's plant and chemical users simply take them for recreation or escape, not for empowerment or to study changes in perception.)

But it almost feels too easy yes? Like something is missing. This is the demon. Taking what it wants from you and making you a slave to his power. To where you are compelled to keep summoning him, each time making an even greater sacrifice in order to merely look upon its face. The toll this demon will take on not only your life, but the very temple of your mind--the body, is just inexcusable, for myself in any regard.

Naturally, this is just my interpretation of cocaine and its uses. But of course:

Do what thou wilt, shall be the whole of the Law.

Crowley viewed cocaine as useful in achieving focus and intensity necessary for ritual. In my experience cocaine does inflame the mind and ego but in a way that magnifies the hunger for pleasure and material satisfaction as Sinasbin indicated. In short, it is a dangerous ally. Certainly Crowley's use of heroin and cocaine did not ultimately work well for him.

My recommendation is, if you feel the need to work with chemical allies, use plants. There is a superabundance of entheogens out there used on a semi-regular basis by indiginous peoples worldwide. Educate yourself as to the cultural context, make sure you work with the plants in the appropriate set and setting (with a nod to Dr. Leary), and show respect for them and yourself, understanding in what way you are part of a single body. The payoffs can be enormous...and without the potential life damage cocaine can bring.

Cocain is really fun, and it seems harmless enough that you might try it in your work.

I don't think cocain will be all that much good for magical work, but hey, who knows.

If you really want to get drugs that will do you well and be legal, try AYAHUASCA. Google that a bunch of times and you'll find some good stuff... there's a place that sells some of the ingredients straight from the Amazon. I think there are some links around here about it , too, on the forums.

the website is like http://www.psychoactive... cant remember the rest. You can buy the vines by the kilo I think. THey have different kinds labeled for their uses by shaman. I suggest using the chaliponga btw, it has more DMT and other goodies in it. Ayahuasca owns. Also, get your hands on some LSD or something. :>. Peyote would be really useful too. Basically im trying to say that hallucinogens are for occultwork, and cocain is for snorting off a toilet seat before you take your hooker back to the bang-bang room.

It's http://www.psychoactiveherbs.com and the other place I buy stuff from is http://www.iamshaman.com - salvia divinorum is a good way to get "Started" on hallucinogens if you're a shaman newbie. you need a lighter capable of 1200 degrees though and a small pipe to smoke the divine sage.

Hope to hear more questions about drugs!

Humorously enough, coke was my 'gateway drug'. As far as altered perceptions, an interesting experiment. With regard to ritual usage? Nah. I always wax philosophical (yeah, even moreso than I do on these forums) and end up wasting time discussing the nature of the universe. Course, the same goes for most substances I've tried, though Dex and THC have both led to interesting tangents, they are in the end, as Sinasbin and Mmothra noted, crutches that can only hinder your power in the long run.

Cokes not too bad. I'm a stoner, but do a few grams every now and then just to mix things up. I don't really use it in any rituals. And as far the dark side, I think it totally depends on the situation/people you are with at the time.

I found Salvia very good as an aid to meditation a few years back, but to be honest nothing I've experienced with any hallucinogen was any harder to get without the use of anything. Ultimately, it's a sign of weakness if someone can't reach the heights that they wish to naturally.

To see the sun rise over a frosted field; to see it set over the sea; to be one with everything and everyone around you - that's so much better than any drug.
