I was sitting on my front porchpetting my black cat. She looked up at me, and I loked into her eyes, suddenly I was looking up at myself as well as looking down at her! Most things like this are second nature for me, but this has never happened to me before and it was very disorienting. Your thougts?

Spontaneous telepathy!
This is very common... The lovely connection between you and your kitty allowed for you to accidentally share what she was seeing. Try this deliberately and you could probably repeat the effect. The same thing can happen with pretty much anyone you love.

that's about what I thought. I seem to have a great deal of latent ability. I have peirced the veil between this world and the 'astral plane.' I see ghosts and spirits and such constantly.

No, cats make great familiars because they can see into the astral plane and malevolent spirits are afraid of them.
I lived in a haunted house until I bulit a new one on the plot. When we moved the ghosts of all our animals came with us, save one. (most pets remain as ghosts too guard their owners until the owner dies)My cat that had died just before we moved plans too stay in that house until we tear it down so he can keep the evil ghost in check.
it is also theorized that many cats (black espeially) are the reincarnated souls of dead adepts

Cats, and especially cats in the wilds are probably one of the most spiritually evolved beings on this world along with birds. And thinking about it now, they both probably are more evolved than human beings?

Yes most are. Most cats can see spirits and have some ability of precognition, but only a few gifted humans have any particularly strong abilities.
And still more of us suppress them because of beliefs, not so cats.

I liked Pitch Black, as a morality play.

Pitch Black was a really good flick and I think it was closer to reality than most reality oriented movies. In real lifel where most of the time situations in need of leadership, the hero is not really some highly moral character, but a character who lacks principle, (what most would refer to as immoral) but makes up for that in focus. Pitch Black's hero is such a character. In short one has to be either just as aggressive or more aggressive than the foe. I think morality fogs up focus for survival? I could be wrong?

There are times for morality, but there are undoubtedly times when principles interfer with what is necessary for survival.
My religion forbids killing because we believe all life is sacred, but if my life depends on it I will.
