The Void

I have heard many people talk about a void which they say is within their spirit. If such a thing did exist, my theory on it would be that it is not a bad thing, but rather good. You see with the void, you are seeing hidden gifts within yourself that you have never seen because you have to go soul searching to find such gifts. In the modern day rat race which we little worker ants are in, we don't have or take the time for soul searching, at least not all of us. Without soul searching, you don't have energy to be yourself and that my friend is a very bad thing. What is your opinion on the void?

Chinese spiritual paths (can't remember which one, probably Taoism) suggest that emptying oneself is important. I personally find that concept useful in meditation... very relaxing.

I had a dream once of jumping off a cliff into the "void"...
I was "rescued" by various "entities" as I fell, and gained some wisdom or insight from them... then I left them and jumped back into the void.

It may be something I could try again ...as a meditation...

I think its one of the best feelings in the world when your mind goes perfectly silent. No thoughts and feelings just contentment in the moment. Thats what the void is to me, a place to rest.
