I now very little on magic but I do know a few things about invoking(I cant spell so..) All of it based on egyptian mythology though.
All the books ive read always tell you to challenge any spirit you invoke, they all mentioned this so Im assuming its very important, I think of it as yelling in a crowd.
In judaism satan isnt evil and never fell but im assuming ur coming from a christian view of satan. And in that religion satan isnt a nice person. Kinda like summoning apep(apothis) why would you do it. But maybe hes misunderstood like Set but even with him you invoke him with caution and never pop your cherry with him. Try summoning a Saint or a angel first some one of a order nature then after you get the hang, go for the chatoic deitys.
And please before you do any summoning good or bad know how to protect and how to banish. Your like a kid who buys some plutonium and starts playing chemist. Of course your hair is startn to fall out.

As a Daemonolator, I will start by stating that so "summon" or "evoke" a Demon into physical manifestation is considered very discourteous, and as such it is very rare that you will get a response, letalone the encounter you wish for . The experience will often be negative .
In order to communicate with a Demon, you must invoke it within yourself, in a circle which is basically a Demon-friendly environment .
You must invoke the four elementals, Lucifer, Belial, Leviathan, and Flereous while facing their correct direction with their proper enns, and then invoke Satan with His proper enn . All the while gently tracing the DZ sigil in the air with a sword or dagger suitable for ritual .
Only then may you invoke your Demon by its respective enn and hope to get anything out of it .

Heh, man, I'm the total end of the spectrum when it comes my opinion on this issue. But as my general disclaimer, I'm going to advise against the summoning of any demons for any reason, especially asking Satan to help you.
But from personal experience, if you wish to speak to an demon, and it isn't working no mater what prayer you use, then you more than likely have a barrier keeping you from them. Naturally, we are protected from what lies on the other side of the veil from an invisible force. For some people, this may be a strong barrier, I'm not sure if it varies with different people; but I believe this barrier is for protective reasons, since not all demons are so... nice.
In order for you to be in communication with said demon, you will have to open this veil. I can't tell you how to do that, that is for you to find. But until then, you won't get any results. Demons can't come to you if you don't unlock the door.
