I found an amazing book on Alchemy

Post by krystal »

I have always been interested in the lost knowledge of ancient times. I read various books on the topics that no longer people talk about. I have been a regular user of forgottenbooks.org and they have released some great books which had been lost in print. Last week i visited the website again and i saw that they have released a new book on Alchemy which had been lost in prints. The book of Aquarius is the name of the book and its about the knowledge and power of alchemy. I had always been interested in alchemists and so i downloaded the ebook which was free. I read the book and i became a fan instantly. The author seems to know a lot about Alchemy and power of nature. I am so impressed by the author and his writing and read some pages over and over again. I would like to quote a few lines from the book here..
The purpose of this book is to release one particular secret, which has been kept hidden for the last 12,000 years. The Philosophers' Stone, Elixir of Life, Fountain of Youth, Ambrosia, Soma, Amrita, Nectar of Immortality. These are different names for the same thing.

Throughout history this secret has been used by a very few to extend their lives hundreds of years in perfect health, with access to unlimited wealth, among many other miraculous properties. Some kept the secret because they understood that the time was not right for the secret to be free for all people, but most kept the secret out of their own jealousy, ignorance, egotism and corruption.

The Stone's history and the history of the human race up until this day is a strange story full of secret societies, hooded cloaks, and mystical symbols. Such theatrics are childish and shallow. It's pointless to look for the light in the shadows.

The Philosophers' Stone operates and is made by entirely natural and scientific means. Truth is always simple, beautiful and easy to understand.

The Philosophers' Stone is real; you can make it at home. The Stone makes old people young, heals all forms of sickness and disease, extends your life, turns any metal into gold, and more, as you will learn. This isn't a myth or a metaphor, it's a fact.

Don't judge this book before you've read it. This is not one of those airy fairy books written in all kinds of mystical language, filling pages with words that makes sentences but not sense. This book will make more sense than anything you've ever read before.

The age of secrets is over. I'm writing this book in common English. There's no need for mystical language or metaphor. This book contains no hidden meaning or codes; everything is stated plainly and directly, in the shortest and simplest of words necessary to convey the meaning.
I know not many people will believe this. But i would like it if people just take a look at the book. I am working to make my own philosopher’s stone and i would like to have some fellow members of the forum to be interested in the idea. The Pdf and the audiobook version of the book is free and can be downloaded from the website
http://www.bookofaquarius.forgottenbooks.org

Please read the book at least once and let me know what you think about it. I would like to discuss this topic with other people. Cheers.

Dear krystal,

I have finished reading the book and have not yet decided whether or not I should invest so much time (3+ years), energy and money (1000$+) in the pursuit of something that, in the end, may be a complete and utter hogwash, and furthermore may be poisonous to ingest. I do not understand how concentrated sodium, phosphorus, silver and/or gold will contribute to one's health (or the health of animals and plants), grant immortality, transmute base metals into silver/gold, create life, resurrect the recently dead, etc.

For all his selflessness, the anonymous "Author" of the Book of Aquarius seems to me to be rather naive, and lacking in intellectual rigour. He may have discovered a method based on the writings of the ancient alchemists, but is this method correct? I also feel his obsession over discovering the Lapis philosophorum (or Philosopher's Stone) may be dragging other naive people into a wild goose chase.

It has been a known fact for many experienced occultists and Western esotericists, that the starting point for the creation of the Lapis philosophorum is urine. This has been known since the days of the original Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in the 1890s, however it is not clear whether the members of the original order pursued it as a physical panacea. Though S.L. MacGregor Mathers claims he's been in the presence of the immortal Secret Chiefs, I doubt these individuals actually existed or that they were made immortal by such a thing as the mythic Lapis philosophorum.

What surprises me is how adamant the anonymous author of the Book of Aquarius is about the dubiousness spiritual alchemy. Hundreds of good books have been written on the subject, with valid philosophical arguments and viewpoints.

What's more, the author admits that he has not yet completed the Stone (but has arrived at some intermediate level of the process called the Magnum Opus, or Great Work). His reasons for writing the book are fair, and I believe the sincerity of his intentions, but I doubt this would be the best way to proceed if such a thing were to be true...

In any case, I must conclude that I am rather incredulous and skeptical about this book, but can't disprove it until one of the many self-styled alchemists of his forum attain to a conclusive result in 2 or 3 years...

If what the author of the Book of Aquarius says is true, well, I am ready to say that I have made a big mistake, and will definitely begin the process of creating the Stone.

The "Philosopher's stone" is named that for a reason. It is impossible. It is the unattainable goal of any alchemist. One only existent in philosophy and absent from the apparent world. A theoretical object capable of supplying eternal life and unlimited wealth. An object to which it's only practial application was to measure perfection. The idea of transmuting an actual "Philosopher's stone" is nonsensical, as it is by definition immpossible to obtain.

If you don't mind, I would love a source on this. I've been studying alchemy for some time now, and I've come to learn that bodily excrements or fluids are not part of the true Stone. You might want to keep in mind that linguistic barriers may work as a mist upon the meaning of many words. For example, the ancient greek word of Dung was almost equal to that for Sulphur, which explains the statements that "The stone can be found in dung as well as in Gold". Perhaps your idea of urine comes from a similar barrier.

Anyhoo, source please.
