I want to introduce myself to you all. I am a forty-two year old Male from North Carolina, but have lived all over the U.S.A. I was raised as a Southern Baptist Christian, and spent ten of twelve years in private Christian Schools. I only met my paternal father once on his deathbed, I was thirty years old. My step father served as a deacon, sang in a gospel quartet (with a record contract) and was physically, psychologically, and a couple times sexually abusive. The last Christian School I attended was very guilty of psychological abuse, even thought they could never point out an "offense" I had committed, I was rebellious toward "God". This, I am convinced was due to the fact that I fervently studied the Bible, and asked tons of questions. I assure you, at that time I was not remotely rebellious, I just wanted to know everything I could, I was silly in that respect. I wanted to know what I was talking about. Due to a "conflict" they kicked my eleven year old brother and myself out halfway through my senior year. The public school system said I would have to re-enroll the next year and start over, because of differences in curriculum. At seventeen I joined the Marine Corps, went into the infantry then, 2nd Force Reconnaissance. I am not going to detail my military career, it was less than spectacular, after a few years they said I had P.T.S.D.
I started researching day and night, this is before the internet was readily availible, I spent a huge amount of money on books. I read about Satanism, The Essene, Wicca, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism .etc. I remembered a seminar we had on the evils of Rock and Roll in "Christian School". I remembered a Man named Aleister Crowley, and how he had Influenced Jimmy Page, and Ozzy Osbourne. My mind was ignited with curiosity.
I later dated a girl when I was trying out for vocalist for a Metal band, we hit it off she became pregnant by me. Years later I was in a restaurant with her bother, and two other young men eating lunch, her father had employed us all. We saw a car pass by with the number 93 on it, I smiled as it passed. He looked at me oddly for a moment and said "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law."I replied "Love is the law Love under Will."I had met a fellow seeker, he , myself and his younger brother became very close and spent years learning from, and teaching each other. The happiness was on contrasted by the rigid fundamental ignorance of the rest of that family. My brother's in-law and I were very much in the minority. His sister gave me two wonderful children. We are divorced now, I remain close with her brothers, Magickians both. My fifteen year old son Solomon, professes Thelema, My nineteen year old daughter is a Christian, Samantha fourteen is an atheist with no other thought about it, and I have another two year old girl Name Aerys ( after the Greek Goddess of Chaos). My second wife is a very sexy English woman I met eight years ago online. She is a Thelemite as well.

I know how you feel about Facebook. As Nahemah mentioned it is a good resource for occultist , a necessary evil if you will. I was astounded at how many Thelemite I found, and unlike my non occult friends they actually respond to me.
