Hello happy occultists,
Today is my birthday, and I've been wondering if there's any kind of magical/astrological/spiritual/whatever significance to that fact. I've heard that pagans invented the candle wishing spell that's become commonplace, so does that actually work if you do it a certain way? Is there any other kind of significance to birthdays?
I've been looking through Google, and I haven't found anything about birthdays besides the origins of the birthday wish and mainstream stuff like horoscopes and birthday magicians.
Thank you! [gz]

Hereabouts,we try to blow the candles all out in one breath,or the wish won't work. There's also the tradition of 'dumps' one thump on the arm or back for every year, lol. Most birthdayers try to avoid this by staying away from public places and other people til midday,as you can't do it after then.We also treat the birthdayer as someone who cannot be scolded or punished for anything for the duration of the whole day.

The Satanic Bible considers your own birthday to be the most important spiritual holiday. Kind of relevant.
Wild cats shall meet with desert beasts, satyrs shall call to one another, there shall the Lilith repose, and find for herself a place to rest.

You can probably make a ritual around anything, making any act, occasion, or time of day into a spell.
