Get inspired:

Made by hand in leather and painted with acrylic paint.
That is her hobby and she have lots of experience, buuuut, what I want said by this is that you can do some neat masks if you get into it.

I am sure your local hobby shop sells basic paper masks, buy some and get paint and other stuff to decorate it.

No high-quality leather masks, but it would be a good start.

Within Scion, masks will be used for paradigm shifting.
I will try making a smooth surface on paper masks, color it and add decorations in plastic.
As I mentioned, for starters, in the future I want to make my masks in leather with glass and metal decorations, smooth edges and sweet shapes.

Plastic decoration can look like this:

That one is my work, cheap, I know, but wait until I start working on glass in a couple of weeks.

Hope I gave you some ideas.

Merimasks are gorgeous. [thumbup]

I have made the odd papier mache mask or two, while at school in the way back when and painted some shop bought blanks also, more recently.

There are tons of sites online with video tutorials and plenty of good tips on how to get started.Crafting your own would be a personal way to connect with deity and it's a lot of fun,if a little messy at times.
