Subforum overload...

Post by Rin »

I'm not sure if anyone else has the same problem, but I'm finding that the number of sub-forums on this website makes it really hard to access and keep track of different threads. having to open 10 - 20 pages just to 'look' for new or interesting threads, then going back through them every time you want to check for replies, is a bit much. It becomes confusing and time consuming, and I'd imagine it's rather overwhelming for those who just found the site. Not only that, but there's a lot of crossover between different subforums, whichs makes deciding where to post something rather confusing sometimes. I'd imagine the site would be much easier to navigate if it were somewhat streamlined :) Just a thought.

First up,welcome back stranger,lol. [grin]

I agree the site needs tidying up,but the subforums are necessary atm, until it gets decided on if/ how and what to collate and change forum wide.

The newer subs are about subjects that have been attracting a lot of interest and questions recently.I t will make it easier to transition,as and when things get shifted around.

Do you use the active topic button?

Or the new posts one?

I use them a lot as I can keep up on new topics and recent replies that way, initially, without it getting too confusing.

With active topics you can leave and come back later. Not so with new topics.

Thanks :D I got chewed up by the RL thing and was too busy to keep up with any study or practice for quite a while, but I received a careful nudge in the right direction and now I'm back at it.

On your suggestion I've been using the 'new post' button, which does help a lot. Still makes it hard to dig up previous discussions if you wanna go back over them, but you can't have everything I suppose :p

It's great to have you back again. [thumbup]

Sorry about the forum overload, but Vashta and I were going to get things moving, until my skin decided it was time to fall off, lol.
I've had a flare up of dermatitis and my hands are mostly useless atm. [crymore]

We were about to sort out what we want to do,tidying and streamlining wise, but I can't type much yet.so I've been lurking mostly and unfortunately, just when forum posting has picked up again after a lull.
Very frustrating. [mad]
