I'm interested in invoking Angelic presences using traditional Kabbalastic methods (Hebrew incantations, prayers etc.) while completely avoiding the Enochian system.
Can anyone guide me towards resources for this?

I want to say Blavatsky, but I'm not sure if research into her ways (Theosophy) would benefit you much, especially seeing as Blavatsky is an insufferable bore and, by all counts, completely insane. On consultation with Nahemah, I'd suggest you looked into the works of Agrippa instead - much easier, and in no way related to Dee.

I would hasten to add that Agrippa's "Fourth Book of Occult Philosophy," while in fact of spurious authorship, is actually a very useful work; containing as it does practical information on the casting of a Circle. Quite an insightful little tome, actually.
There is also, "Commentaries on the Occult Philosophy of Agrippa," By Willy Schrodter, Published by Weiser, 2000-2008. Schrodter does a really good job of explaining some of Agrippa's more archaeic references, and also clarifying many areas of the text generally.

I recommend The Chicken Kabbalah. It covers the basics of the Kabbalah, including angels and demons and the such, as well as the concepts behind using their powers to your advantage.
And it's an entertaining read.
