Healing and candle magic

I am very invested in healing.

I work medical, have a disabled husband (head injury; seizures [now very well controlled] and other issues).

I'm seeing, today, news of 80 people murdered in North Korea for "the crime" of wanting to watch South Korean television. [stare]

Thousands of people in the Philippines currently suffering from

likely the deadliest natural disaster ever to hit island nation, Typhoon Haiyan leaves thousands dead, thousands more desperate for food and water...

I feel so inadequate and want to help.

One thing I am increasingly doing as a way of help (aside from mundane - such as monetary donation), is candle magic. I work with both Sun and Moon energies, Runes (carved into the body of the candle), color correspondences, anoint with saliva (it's part of me, after all...which bottled oil isn't!), salute the Keepers of North, East, South, West, raise energy. Light and let the healing flow.

We're a world filled with broken hearts, bodies, spirits. I like to believe I can help. [yay]
