Planned downtime

Just a note to say I'll be transferring the site from its current server to a new server on Saturday, the site will be down for a few hours, I'm aiming to do this early and hope to have everything running again for Saturday evening.

I will be posting updates on the facebook page https://www.facebook.com/OccultForum while the site is down.

Just to keep you updated, the new server has been ordered and I'm waiting on the hosting company provisioning it, which could be up to 24hrs. The site will continue working in the meantime. Once the new server is provisioned, I will do some initial setup on it, then once ready, I will switch off Apache here which will prevent anyone from accessing the site. I will then make a backup and transfer the site to the new server, and once it has been restored at the other end, I will switch Apache on on the new server. There should be no loss of data, just a period of downtime which may last several hours depending how it goes. Updates will be posted to facebook, and I'm hoping to have everything done by the end of tomorrow.

I didn´t notice any difference so far, but it seems as it has gone well.
