howdy
hey there, brand new here, just thought I would introduce. [yay] I'm Gabe, from texas, living in germany. I have recently gotten into occult research and science, and I am super excited to learn! a teacher or a reference person might be of use, seeing that the whole solitary thing is a bit hard for the neophyte. But anyhoosies, hi/bye/talk to you later!

Re: howdy
thanks Nahemah and Ramscha, I've been a passive observer for a while and noticed that there aren't any posts looking for teachers. why is that? is it froned upon or... [question2]

Re: howdy
Good question. I guess that is because Information shared here is already compareable to teaching. Also teaching in magick is not that easy as it sounds as the general student-teacher concept from school is not really helpful in magick studies. There are some orders or lose covens where they sometimes teach (In Germany I would look for OTO, IOT or the Autonomatrix), but very often people start studying for themselves and sometimes cooperate with others they got to know in their neighbourhood or a group of interested people starts to study together.and noticed that there aren't any posts looking for teachers. why is that? is it froned upon or... Being a teacher or student can go down to a very personal level so it is a decision you should think about if you really need a teacher and if then who it should be.
Ramscha
bye bye

@rosered yeah I thought so, Unfortunately, it looks like theres only one group around me (according to witchvox) so I joined their yahoo group and will be looking for meetups and circles and the like. right now I'm doing some in depth reading with occult sciences and various grimoires. Speaking of, does anybody have thoughts on the Grimoire of arts by Brian Lovering? it seems very in depth, but cannot really guage the veracity of the work, because the reviews go all over the place. thoughts?
