I am a huge fan of sigils, both because of their ease of use, diversity of application, and personal effectiveness in the spells I've done in the past. As my path has refined, it has taken a decidedly Hellenic characteristic. Several months ago, when I was looking for options that meshed better with Ancient Greek magic, I stumbled upon this website:
http://digitalambler.wordpress.com/2012 ... gil-wheel/
In this blog, he describes a method of sigil creation that is largely reverse engineered from the standard rose cross sigil method, but uses the Greek Alphabet, and a very ingenious system of correspondences using stoicheia as the model:

In his wheel, within the center ring, the letters psi, ksi, khi, theta, and phi correspond to the five elements of Aether, Water, Fire, Earth, and Air. The next ring represents the seven classical planets (and the corresponding Greek vowels), and the remaining consonants are the twelve zodiac signs in Astrology. He goes into more detail in some of his other posts, but his concept is awesome for someone like me.
Though the intention of this wheel is probably more Hermetic in nature, this concept works well with my path, and I've found a particularly useful application. When I have a particular spell that I want to perform, I petition the aid of a particular daimon or personification, and make a sigil to harness the force of my magical intent.
Here is a huge list of the various personifications:

I usually craft the sigil on my computer, and print it out on a small square of paper, placing it on my altar with candles for illumination. I also burn certain kinds of incense or raw herbs, place certain color candles, and use particular gemstones to further bolster whatever working I'm doing. I have also experimented with carving the sigils into candles, and I look forward to making permanent talismans.
I would love to hear what you all think of the concept...

The golden dawn had a similar system.

Welcome to the Forum
I think it is a good idea and I like the link. Although I know Hebrew, it is nice to see this work done in Greek (which I would prefer).
On the magical use of sound and letters, I would recommend you speak with Ramscha on the Forum. His interests are similar but with Runes.

Re: The Greek Sigil Wheel
I practice a unique form of magic: non-hermetic Greek Magic. As a result, I've had to do a lot of study and experimentation to create methods that are compatible with my Hellenic beliefs, and don't lean too strongly towards Hermetic or modern magical paths. This works really well for me, and I hope that it is of some use to some of you in the forum.
Re: The Greek Sigil Wheel
That is actually quite an awesome sigil system.. seems that it contains quite a few depths within what seems like on the surface a very simple method.
Might have to give it a shot.
