how unique one really is indeed? And how great the chance it is that you got into and are your own cosmic game? who could possibly be you, but yourself? sometimes life convinces me i'm on my own truman show and i've checked the evidence at the milisecond - if i'm not being distracted by the audience laughing in the background *audience laughs in the background*

k lets not debate if i'm delusional and if i need counseling or not. i want to know if anyone has their own solid theory on this, because i for one seem to come around this notion very easily and frequently, almost as if an unconscious reality, not just as something you get into your mindset and over think about.

my own experience leads me into a paradoxical conclusion - i know only i exist "here", but i know there are "there"s which is also here somewhere and yet i am everywhere - and i'm a selfless-egoistic god, you know [geek2]?

Apparently there is a psychological term for this called the pronoia (or for what resembles most with the mind beyond psychological domain):

Pronoia is a neologism that is defined as the opposite state of mind to paranoia: having the sense that there is a conspiracy that exists to help the person. It is also used to describe a philosophy that the world is set up to secretly benefit people.

In 2008 the writer and Electronic Frontier Foundation co-founder John Perry Barlow defined pronoia as "the suspicion the Universe is a conspiracy on your behalf"

In Psychology, it's a neologism that defines a disorder of thought, it can be a symptom of mania also.

It can be useful in workings. for a short period of time, to develop Pronoia, but I'm doubtful of it's long term effectiveness, unless enough people feed into the concept to make the energy matrix raised by the belief viable for extensive use. It's too big a Universe for it to be conspiring for and on behalf of only one person .

Constant or prolonged pronoia also reads to me, a lot like holding a belief in 'the law of attraction'. I'm not a fan of Nu Age thinking.

He talks about solipism as well as the truth of objects and how do we know that a chair is there if we aren't.
It's a great mindfuck.

I think many who are in the lesson to explore themselves come to this question. Its not weird or egotistical, it is a solid philosophical query. I think you should explore it more. It has many interesting... mental destinations.

Many theories state that spirit/god is beyond the limits of time, yes?

Add to that, the theory that God is a part of all of us.

What if there is only ONE being in all the universe, split up and interacting with ITSELF so that IT gains and experiences everything. What if we are all God,... just different episodes.

I don't know of I'm coming thru with this point of view, but for some reason it's always been comforting to me. To know in the end I'm not missing out on anything because in the other side "I" experience it all, and that this particular unique incarnation (the little'me') is appreciated for the life I live.

I think that solipsism does have some truth to it. However, it brings up the problem of what it really means to say "I exist." What do we mean by I? What do we mean by exist?

The school of Hindu philosophy called Advaita Vedanta teaches that you are the only thing that really exists. But when it says you, it doesn't mean your body or your mind. Advaita teaches that you are actually pure awareness, and the only thing that truly exists is awareness. Anything else that seems to exist depends on you for its existence. That's what Advaita teaches.
