muscular armoring
I've heard that muscular armoring leads to inability to direct energy, is there any set way to break it down and prevent it from returning?
Re: muscular armoring
Could you explain what you mean by "muscular armoring"?
"The path of the Sage is called
'The Path of Illumination'
he who gives himself to this path
is like a block of wood
that gives itself to the chisel-
cut by cut it is honed to perfection"
- DDJ, Verse 27

“Armoring is the condition that results when energy is bound by muscular contraction and does not flow through the body” (Reich:1936)Rin wrote:Could you explain what you mean by "muscular armoring"?

Or to put it in short terms: Tensed and stiffened muscles.thatrandomguy wrote:“Armoring is the condition that results when energy is bound by muscular contraction and does not flow through the body” (Reich:1936)Rin wrote:Could you explain what you mean by "muscular armoring"?
There is a bunch of things you can do, I will list a few:
- Qi Gong or Tai Chi are supposed to keep it at bay if practiced on regularly
- Good Sex
- Massage
- Proper and regular Asana practice
- work out and stretching if you sit around a lot or have a job where you don't move much

Actually, you can use muscular armouring or tenseness to great effect.
When my wings get tired I grab my broom.
Re: muscular armoring
Ah ok. Yes I've definitely found that releasing muscular tension aids greatly in the flow of energy, as does balancing and aligning your posture (a lot of people have terrible posture these days, due to the modern sedentary lifestyle). All of what Ramscha mentioned is good advice for achieving this.
