Afterlife for victims of war?

Post by Liberator »

What afterlife do victims of war probably wind up having? For example those who have been killed in it? Would it also depend in which side they willingly fought for? World War 1 being the most notable example but occurred over power struggle, excessive competition, nationalism and world war 2 against malevolent intentioned ultranationalist and social-darwinist ideology.

Let's say the Waffen SS or Nazi war criminals who voluntarily fought for an ideology with and founded on malevolent intentions such as social-darwinism, injustice and racial discrimination. Would they have become evil spirits upon dying or moved into a lower plane of existence? While what would happen to the souls of those who died fighting the malevolent intentioned ideology?

And what about those who fight and die in war in general? There was even an unexplainable case in which possibly a ghost gave a man a remarkably well preserved as if brand new 19th century bullet when he was wearing Union Uniform doing a civil war reenactment. Upon meeting him it was like meeting a normal living person who looked nothing like a stereotypical ghost.

In some cases at old battlefields there are even spectral battlefield cases during the night. As if the fight was still happening. Hearing sounds of fighting and killing, seeing "ghostly soldiers". These cases are known as "Spectral Armies" by some. The ghosts still fighting on after being long dead: http://theshadowlands.net/ghost/spectral.htm

I highly recommend a good reading of the Bagadvad Gita to anyone interested in this particular line of question and study.

What the Shades of the dead really are and how a haunting works are different matters entirely, but the Bagavad Gita answers many of the questions revolving around a Warrior's responsibilities and spirituality.

Interesting topic.

I'd say your own consciousness is where Heaven and Hell are.
So I guess these people can't escape from the war, which seems eternal, for them.
This is their constant reality.
