Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. It seems like the option to edit goes away after a while.

Re: What is the deal with the edit button
That is correct, you can edit something you say right away for the purpose of mistypes. It goes away to prevent people from coming back and changing their words. In the past there were detailed conversations and years later someone would come back and there would be these key missing conversation points or information. There were also those who would slightly change their posts to pretend they were saying something different after being shown wrong (or incorrectly predicted thing). Nahemah may have some better information as she was the one who told me about it, and far as memory goes I could have completely gotten it wrong. If you have reason to edit your post you can PM one of us and if we feel you have a good reason to edit your post we will edit for you.Desecrated wrote:Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. Stukov is correct.
We only allow a small window for editing, as open edit was abused by too many members.
If you wish to change content, pm a staff member and we can do it for you,
We will only delete whole topics or posts if there is a justifiable, or exceptional reason for doing so, though.

Re: What is the deal with the edit button
Sometimes I don't notice spelling errors until the day after. It feels a bit stupid to contact the mods for something like that.
Well, it is what it is.

We're more than happy to help if you want spelling or grammar errors fixed, it's not a problem and it's not too much trouble either. [grin]

I used to have a sort of OCD about correcting my typos. But thanks to this forum I could get rid of it to a certain extent [crazy] .
