Sex Magick for begginers ?
Sex Magick for begginers ?
And one more question. So now I have a partner and me and she want to practice sex magick. So are there any well written books for begginers of sex magick ?
Re: Sex Magick for begginers ?
I firmly stand by the statement that Sex Magick, in its full practice and true essence, is not a beginners craft - and anyone who says that it is for beginner practitioners is very foolish.
If you want to experience something magical during sex, then before you do anything else, learn how to have really good sex. You don't need a ritual or a specific exercise to experience very powerful things with a good partner. Besides, being good at sex is kind of a prerequisite for being good at Sex Magick.

Well we don't have a problem with having a good sex and enjoying ourselves as well. But you seem to know a lot about occult and are very well respected here, so surely I'll take your advice, thanks. However any book to start with after I will have more experience? And how much experience do you think is needed for sex magick ? And is it necessary for my partner to be practitioner of occult as well ?
Re: Sex Magick for begginers ?
Franz Bardon teaches you Sex Magick when he teaches you how to use the Electric and Magnetic Fluids. He just teaches you how to do the actual magick bits without the physical sex.
As for books, the easiest contemporary intro to the subject is probably Modern Sex Magick by Kraig. If you want to do some hardcore studying, you can delve into Crowley's work or even older things like Magia Sexualis by Randolph. It depends on how thorough and scholarly you want to get. You can also look up "tantra" stuff that's relatively easy to work on in the mean time. Things like Sensual Massage are particularly easy to practice, and can be quite spiritual when exercised to that end.

Seconded.
The best starting point is to understand exactly what sex is. Not just for humanity, but life and the universe overall.
If you can understand that then the power of sex is easy to tap into.
My only warning is that if this power isn't directed properly it has a will of its own. Be prepared for the consequences.

Re: Sex Magick for begginers ?
Okay thanks for your helpful answers. It seems that after completing the IIH one can practice any (or well most) form of magick, do I get it right?
So I am gonna give most of my energy to IIH for a while then dive into different magick traditions deeper.

Re: Sex Magick for begginers ?
The Taoists have written a number of works on 'sexual alchemy', which in my opinion is a good place to start. Their techniques of cultivation and control are very good for a beginner. This isn't Magick proper, more a spiritual practice to clear the energy body and refine one's essence towards vitality. But the correspondences to sex magick are interesting.

I would recommend each invoking gods that are lovers and having sex as a beginner technique...thats basically the sexual magick that means anything as a loving couple anything else is ritual sex for a purpose or manifestation or attaining power or "immortality"

Re: Sex Magick for begginers ?
Gotta second (third?) the suggestion that sex magic is not a beginner practice. You need to be familiar with raising and directing energy as part of a sustained magical practice in order to develop the required focus and avoid the pitfalls. However you can practice a very basic form of sexual magic by visualizing an intention during sex and then focusing on it intensely while "projecting" it out into the universe during orgasm.
As for books, I practice Tantra and while there are no accurate books available to Westerners (you really need to learn it from a lineaged teacher), you might try some of the many books on Tantric sex magic for ideas on developing your own techniques. Just avoid the Llewelyn titles (the one by Frater UD is ok but the rest are bunk) and that weird Demons of the Flesh one that claims to merge Tantra with Western esotericism.

Re: Sex Magick for begginers ?
I've heard of it. It seems quite popular right now for Western LHP groups, especially those of a Luciferian/Typhonian bent, to incorporate tantric and kundalini-raising praxis into their magic. Michael Ford wrote a grimoire about it which is probably worth reading if you're interested, and I know Thomas Karlsson's Dragon Rouge order also incorporates similar practices. But again, none of this is beginner stuff and you'd probably need a good base in both Luciferian magic AND Vamamarga tantra to work such a path safely.RockDemon wrote:Guys have any of you heard about "Luciferian Tantra" ?
I still think you should read and research different paths while building a solid meditation practice and using sexual orgasm as a general focal point for your intentions, before you attempt any of the more advanced practices. Sex magic is one of the more volatile forms of ritual out there and can really mess you up if you're not prepared to handle all the energy it raises. But hey, do as thou wilt [thumbup]

Re: Sex Magick for begginers ?
Yes I found Michael Ford's book, that's how I heard about Luciferian Tantra. But it got some initiation process , meditations before the actual sex rituals. So I thought it was suited for beginners. But I guess it is not ?

Re: Sex Magick for begginers ?
I just looked through Michael Ford's book and it's definitely not for beginners. I also have some questions about how he syncretizes certain concepts. I can go into more detail over PM if you want, but I'd approach this one more as an informational text than a practical tutorial if you're just starting out.

If you're just starting out, I'd recommend as a basic beginning practice 100 days of celibacy for you and your partner.
Don't move on until you make 100 days.
If you can't control it, how are you going to...control it?
