Ritual Music

Here are a few selections though not strictly ritualistic at times.

Fossil Dungeon wrote:The Fossil Dungeon is dedicated to representing music that inspires moods and emotions which serve to cultivate a transcendental experience for the listener, be it excitement, melancholy, romance, historic nostalgia, etc. We perceive music as a gateway to the world of awareness and delight in showcasing sounds that purvey the dichotomy of both the sacred and the profane.

I would recommend Lustmord. You can listen to LastFm Radio and search for him which will bring you to a host of similar artists that create dark droning ambient soundscapes.
For extremely dark energies I recommend Michael Ford's CD's [urlhttp://www.lulu.com/content/compact-disc/lilit ... ht/6060184 and [urlhttp://www.lulu.com/content/compact-disc/rite- ... oth/614160

As I listened to many of the recommendations presented here it made me wonder as to the 'why' they were recommended?

Choosing music for ritual, meditation or any occult/spiritual based activity works best when the music is not in song form, does not interrupt the focus and attention but rather induces a trance state with secondary trance loops and multiple dissociated trance planes, and is composed using the proper frequencies and intent.

Ritual Music

One person might believe a certain type of music resonates to the darkness or the light within them, others would say another type of music brings out negative feelings or positive feelings. Who would be right? Both would be...since each would be making their choice based on themselves.

I imagine that's how it is for all of us. When I saw this thread...I did have an instant thought on what has always made me jumpy, and want to strike back at friend or foe.

This music is of the classical genre...now my husband loved it....I hated it.

Wagner...lol.

I love other types of classical music...but Not his...lol.

I realize that this is a very old post though I really don't think it'd hurt much to share something here that others might find interesting/enjoyable so here goes....

I see that Lustmord, Nox Arcana, and Dead Can Dance have been mentioned, and they're all great. I also find Hexentanz, The Devil & the Universe, and instrumentals by Coil to be very good for creating a ritualistic atmosphere.
