Ghost!!!!

Hey any of y'all have encounters to share? I have had some weird ones so I'll share one to get things started.


I once met a women at a kinda fork in the road. Just got off the train and I was waiting to cross. Now this women was dressed like really weird and in layers. It was rather warm so I figured because she was old she was cold or something. She asked me if I was waiting for the bus and I told her yes.

"You missed the eight o'clock it just went not to long ago you will have to take the nine."

"Ugh I could have sworn I was on time but oh well I'll just be late to class."

We talked about how bad the bus normally is and how it's always late.

"It's normally not that late when I take it." She said.

"Then it must be something new because I leave an entire hr early just to catch it." I said with a laugh and role of the eyes. She laughed to and we talked about simple thing and how the road always seems so crowded with cars.

I never once looked directly at her for longer then a few polite seconds. You know those I'm watching for the light to change but I want you to know I'm listening seconds? Very nice lady and we both where heading to the same bus. I figured she came from the neighborhood behind the train I took because there are no side walks around here. When the light changed I remember telling her and we both started crossing the street. When I got to the other side I turned around and she was gone. It was so odd because if she went anywhere I should have still been able to see her.

I realized the train came in with a new load of people before I crossed over because it was leaving. My friend was already half way across the street and I waved her over.

"Hey Dalovey how's it going?"
"It's all good but umm...hey did you see me at the cross walk?"
"Yeah I saw you standing there when we pulled in...why?"
" did you see that lady with me?"
"What lady?"
"The one I was talking to?"
"I didn't see you with anyone..." She gave me an odd look and wrote it off as a joke before she walked off to talk to a few more of our fellow classmates.

It was impossible that she could see me and not the lady because no matter the position on the train you could see the cross walk. Also to see me she had to be by the window anyway. She was not too far behind me when we crossed hell a few more seconds she would have crossed with us. I realized after asking around no one saw me talking to a lady they just saw me standing there and looking around then crossing. To them it looked like I was considering dashing across the road. It wasn't too busy at times and I could have pulled that off but I didn't want to be rude to the older women and I had time.

This is when I started considering she wasn't able to be seen by them. I started considering she was a ghost because it's not the first time that happened. It's just the first time one talked to me and I checked my watch to see how long it would be before the nine o'clock came just to see it was 7:45 am. I realized this women managed to convince me without trying that I was an entire hr late. I don't do late I never do and I'm completely confused about why I instantly agreed. My theory at the time was that I really liked how happy and nice she felt and excepted how convinced she was and believed her. This is the most likely choice considering I check my clock many times threw out my trip. In fact before talking to her I checked my clock when my trained pulled in to see if I had to run to the bus stop.

I have OCD when it comes to being on time so I was a bit unnerved by this.

Anyway, y'all have similar or different stories?

Come down to New Orleans, they're everywhere here. You can't properly bury the dead this far below sea level so they stick around and hang out with the living. Plus we treat them pretty well. Eventually you stop noticing them and they become part of the landscape like lizards and pot holes and drunk smelly tourists.

Wow that sounds interesting and kinda creepy but I wouldn't mind coming down. As long as they don't follow me home that is.

That would be fantastic! And they don't follow you home unless you invite them or piss them off. [grin]
