Anyone recognise any of these symbols?

Post by DawnSidhe »

Hi and sorry to make my first post a request for help, but I have been searching all over the net for something similar to this language/symbology and drawn a blank so I thought I would try here.

Sorry if this is the wrong section but I was not sure where to put this. If it belongs somewhere else on the site let me know.

I would rather not give any more info about them yet so as not to influence any responses. I have more but I'll keep it to these 2 for now. Apologies for the poor quality.

Anyone recognise anything?

Thank you and looking forward to any input.

Blessings.

It looks similar to hoodoo veve, but I honestly just think it is graffiti made with that style.

Its automatic writing at best - definitely not Vodou. It looks like a personalised systemic language of repetitive curls, so something insular and delineated, probably some kind of reductive process of intuitive reasoning in response to outward stimuli?

So, assuming it is automatic writing, and thus a product of your own psyche, what does it mean to you?

Motumbá Àse

Looks similar to angelic sigils. Pretty

Just to make it clear, Hoodoo does't have vevers, those are of Vodou. [wink]

Automatic writing isn't always "a product of our own psyche".

Thanks for the input! I had almost forgotten about this posting, life got in the way. They were produced in trance state when I was heavily under the influence. Normally I paint wild and abstract scenes but this time I began to write. I felt guided by outside forces. If I for a second stopped to wonder about what I was writing I was unable to continue and these hesitations can be seen. At certain points I knew what it was I was writing- some of it a letter, some of it is musical notation. The below is most definitely a sigil; for what I have no idea. I have another symbol which I am sure is a signature of mine from another life/dimension. Interesting, Willow, that you mention angelic sigils. My main reason for asking anyone if they recognised anything was to get some input as to whether the force/forces guiding me were angelic/demonic in nature.

These all resemble sigils but there is no way to tell if they are angelic or demonic (not saying demons are bad angels are good every spirit is fully capable of being both i am a satanist i call for demons guidance with most of my magick.) without being able to recognize them i can skim through a couple of my books to see what i can find. however because sigils are relating to the drawing of spiritual energy and if you were lead to put them there. then there could be malefic intent you should do something to contain them until you know more.

Hello,
Browse for "Voynich manuscript" images, mysterious script, unknown language, some say it was inspiration to many well known names, others claim different things... Maybe you can find it helpful.
It also reminds me on Leonardo da Vinci handwriting.

They remind me of the sigils in the grimoire of armadel (sp?) And the surest way to learn what a symbol means imho is astral skrying or projecting into the symbol, however there are risks involved with direct contact less of course in skrying but if its you own autonomoc writing then your already intune with where ever they came from so you biggest danger is probably risking the madness of self realization before your ready :)
