Angels and demons in the occult.
Angels and demons in the occult.
Hi all. I am quite new to the occult and I have a rather vague question that I hope might be resolved. I noticed that there was angelic magic (Enochian etc.) and demonic magic (Goetia etc.). I was going to ask what sort of general lines exist between the two. When should I seek angels and when should I seek demons? Any answers, experiences, insights will be appreciated.
Re: Angels and demons in the occult.
You have asked what seems to be a very volatile question on this forum.
I suppose it all depends on what faith system you believe in, and what the meaning of life is. If you are a Pagan, then a Demon can be a friend and an Angel can be an enemy. If you are looking for a being to interact with for your own desires, I would ask you the question "What do you want from this being?" if you want blessings, then ask yourself how you would like to receive them.
Another good question is to ask yourself how you learn. Perhaps a Demon would prove to be a better teacher than an Angel. These are good questions to know the answer to when seeking the aid of beings from the unknown.
Now if you are not a Pagan, and are of the dominant religion from whatever culture you are in, then look to this religion to satisfy the answer of whether you want a Demon or an Angel to come to your aid. Also, should you be seeking assistance from a Divine Being to cause an affect on someone else, you may want to consider what you want done to that person. For instance; you are mad at someone... you want them to learn that you are the most powerful and fierce magician in all the land! Do you want to bless them or curse them? Which being would best fit with this idea? What do you want to transpire here? Always remember that what you give you will get back, so if you are looking to dole out punishment youd better be prepared for retaliation- not just from the object of your anger, but from the Divine Being you are contacting. Divine Beings arent stupid, they will know if your cause is just or not, and will treat you accordingly.
One last thing... depending on what you believe, a Demon might be an agent of the Divine from your faith, or it might be an opponent of your faith, so consider that as well.
Good luck man.
