Ouija Boards and other Divination Boards (Questions & Discussion)

Annually at my friend's birthday party, we use her ouija board. Last year, we talked to this one girl's deceased grandfather, and he responded. She was crying, and all we could do was wait for the grandfather to give her another answer to her questions. It was really sad, but she's fine now.

I made a proper ouija board (out of wood not paper), and i met a demon through it, 2 actually, one of them told me he was a soldier demon and killed alot of people and is also 6568 years old but seemed honest enough and not as bad as i thought.
Is it normal to talk to demons which say they don't mean to harm you? He also offered to do things to the people who have tried to harm me, now i think iv'e got some sort of bond between him strangely.
How can you break a bond or keep a strong bond and is this a good or bad thing in an overall perspective?

I recently bought a Ouija board from a toy store the other day. I have read stories of peoples experiences using the board. I tried using the board the other night as well as this morning but nothing happened. Do I need candles or perhaps some chant to summon a spirit?

Ouija boards are purchased at toy stores because that's what they are: Toys. They're not set up well enough to be useful as a divinatory tool, and the pointer thingy is too heavy to do psychokinetic exercises with. I'm usually pretty good with stuff like that but I can only make the pointer on my Ouija board scoot maybe half a centimeter without using my hands. Making ghostly voices come out of the woodwork is a great deal easier.

With regard to "summoning spirits" for the purposes of interaction via the Ouija board--knock yourself out. I wouldn't advise it, but you're probably not going to get any results anyway, so... yeah. much love - (c) Odonata Corp. all rights reserved - Scarlett

Actually, I read a book called "Aleistar Crowley and the ouija" By Cornelius (I forget his initials, he never wrote back to me!)
It was marketed as a "toy" but is a perfect Divinatory tool.
The Paunchette (excuse me spelling) is a representation of the triangle, a doorway through which to communicate... a very effective doorway, at that.
Crowley had a huge interest in the Ouija. The book above, an almost unknown work, I found, was an extremely informative document on the Elemental Realm, a Treatise and a work to be considered.

A toy... It is not... A piece of ritual equipment, Yes, It should be revered more than it's hocus pocus reputation.

Sorry double post...

Divination should be the easiest thing to do, If you can't divine a question, no amount of tools will help.

A twig can divine an answer.

Ouija Boards and other Divination Boards (Questions & Discussion)

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I was looking to purchase a Ouija board but I have been a bit hesitant lately. You see I went to several antique stores hoping to find a ouija there. I didn't want a new one. I thought maybe an older one that might have been used would attract more entities. I found out any board works no matter how old. The reason that I wanted to ask your personal opinion is because As I stated I am hesitant due to people at these stores scaring me a bit. They where saying to watch out that I could become possesed and that I should not mess with the Ouija. What is you guys take on this. Should I still get one any way. I was hoping I could contact my Grandmother threw the board. My grandmother believed and practiced Witchcraft. I really didn't know her that well as she died when I was 7, and she lived in Cuba. She use to read the Rocks. If that is how you say it in English. In Spanish it's called Caracoles. I guess it's kinda like reading Tarot cards but with those type of Rocks. Like I said I don't know what it is called in English. Anyway the point is should I try and contact her??? Do you see any harm that can come from this? thanks

Ouija boards until recently were sold in toy stores. There's a reason for that.

Ouija boards are indeed occultic tools, but the way they work is by just grabbing a random spirit and having it talk to you. If you're looking for a spirit in particular, it's near impossible. And most spirits lie, on top of that.

I believe you should look into necromancy or mediumship. Both of which have a lot of literature on the subject and speaking to your grandmother yourself instead of through a board would be better for both of you.

I read that using a Ouija was much like driving in convertible through a large city during the busy part of the day with a door open for anyone to jump in and have a bit of fun. As is obvious, perhaps the one who accepts said offer isn't looking for any kind of fun that you'd be interested in.

If you feel you need to use a board, I don't see any harm in it.

If your family is Cuban though, I'd recommend using the divinatory practices that come from Santeria or Ifa Shells.

If you feel insecure about using these methods, the best way is to make your own board, and place a picture of your grandmother on the bakc of the board, this will ensure that you do not contact anything random.

With Respect, Helmut, I disagree. These divinatory tools were reduced to their toy status by charletons and the antics, and deserves a bit more respect, the kind of respect that you would give to the Alphabet, and a triangle. ( may I say helmut, that you commented upon members ineptness before, consign some to yourslef here)

But also to say, You are not going to get "Grandma" from your Ouija, yes window. you will have any amount of qlippoth posing as granny feeding knowledge of her back to you, that you supply them with in the first place.
Use Oracularly, Use wisely.

Thank you all for your advice. I think what I am going to do is what amunptah 777 stated. I am gonna try first to get in contact with an aunt of mine who knows about all these things, as she is a Santara and is into Santaria. I was hesitant to speak to her about this because it's her husbands mother(my dad's brother), and I did not want my dad knowing. he would not approve. Oh, well. If she can help I will do what she says. If not I will place my grandmothers pic in the back of the board so I can contact her and her only. I do hope though that this will work as I do not want to be fooled by some other entity posing as her. Thanks again to all. I will keep you posted on the outcome. Wish me Luck!!!

Why would I admit to something false? Who do you think you are, the Inquisition?

And good luck to you, Yumi.

A friend of mine and I used to mess around with a Ouija board when I was a teenager. The house we did it in was newly built, and entirely spiritually clean before we did it...it most definitely wasn't afterwards. I had the sound of running feet and whispering outside my bedroom door at night, as well as spirits randomly coming into the room to say hi and walking past me while I was on the computer.

We did it because it was a rush, and I'm guessing that's why most other kids do it too. From a safety perspective, I've recently started to view evocation in general as being the equivalent of train surfing, to be honest. It's popular for the same reason that jumping out of planes is...a lot of people like to ride the lightning. ;)

The Exorcist was based on a true story, in case you didn't know...and temporary possession by something terminally antisocial is in some respects probably actually one of the least harmful things that can happen to you. I've also heard of cases where people were trying to contact dead relatives, and ended up contacting something much worse who decided to impersonate the dead relative for a while, purely for kicks.

Unless you've got a very specific reason for wanting to talk to her, I wouldn't do it...and even then, I probably still wouldn't. Personally, I enjoy being alive, sane, and living in a house that isn't infested with renegade spirits...but that's just one of my own personality quirks, I guess. ;)

I'd suggest Lucid Dreaming. My grandmother has visited me many, many times or someone posing as my grandmother, but she has told me things only she and I would have known. Because fear is not good and if you have a fear of the board, I don't think it's a good idea.
I wanted to add in case I wasn't clear, which I sometimes am not, that I use one, but I do not have any fear of it. I think fear can cause problems.

That's just so cute. Considering most Tarot decks are manufactured by U.S. Games.

well my advice would be to first develop clairvoyance and sensitivity first, IIH may help you with this,

http://athenaeum.asiya.org/Bardon_Initi ... metics.pdf

after that i would suggest that if you buy one you Demagnetize it on the contrary the used magical items may have unsavory links attached to it and you may never know,

I love using my ouji board. I have to admit I often get spirits I have no idea who they are. You just have to be very careful when using. I have found that in my family they have picked one person who is the strongest to come through and communicate with me.

There are no more danger to Ouija boards than any other divination tool. However using such tools will make you more open, but that is the case whit Tarot cards and crystal balls and what have you to. Unwanted Energy or entities might take an interest in you and your door is open, unless you learn some protection spells like the LBRP or something similar. But possession, you are more likely to win the lottery, what can happen is a bit of discomfort or feeling drained and other such minor problems.

As for your grandmother, are you sure she would like to contact you. Not all Spirits are accessible, she might be born again, or in a Spiritual place where you can not reach her, and if you reach her, your communication and longing for her might be holding her back.

Ouija boards are fun. Me and my friends like to get all drunk and play around on it. We get quite a few "spirits" and learn a few things from them. It works best if you don't take it to seriously and if the people using it have the right chemistry. Just relax and enjoy.

But you are most likely not going to talk to you grandma. You might get something that says its her, but it probably won't be. Ouija boards are much better for meeting new friends, its like a ghost chat room. You don't really know anyone in there, but you can have fun chatting.

Now, in my mind, I don't entirely believe its a ghost thats talking to you. I want the pointer to move on its own. Thats never happened to me though. Maybe some day. Good luck.
