Of course they were. That was an acceptable practice for a prophet. It was one of the abilities that made him or her a prophet.
do you have any proof scripturally of that, im not trying to prove you wrong if it sounds that way im just asking

I think Jesus was projecting when he was "walking on water" and I also think, from what I have read and studied, that he and his friends practiced the "occult" quiet often. I think he dealt in self healing, if you believe strongly enough it is possible to heal your own body. He always asked "do you believe" and after it was done and they thanked him he always said "do not thank me, thank the higher power.
Just my opinion....and I have a lot of them. LOL
Does anyone have any knowledge of Jesus using Soma Mushrooms? Just curious

Just read the prophetic books of the Bible. Read Revelations. The prophets were taken up into the heavens and shown many wonderful things. Now either they did a version of astral projection or their body literally left earth and went physically went to heaven and then came back to earth. My take is that they had an out of body experience via astral projection.

I brought that up on the first page of this thread...
However I would like to point out that the fella that wrote Revalations was "in spirit" when he traveled to heaven...so while it (the bible) may not say to seek AP/OOB out it certainly does not seem like a mortal sin (if Jesus hangs out with astral buddies).
I'm pretty sure it's in other parts of the 'good book' as well...but I'm too lazy to look

Only parts of it. Revelations fer sure...maybe a few of the psalms and probverbs...but there are a few letters of little note in there as well not to mention the 'stories'.
But certainly parts are *ponders*

I have a feeling many of the psalms were used to achieve trance.

Hey, I said MAYBE and A FEW
I've got random words of wisdom in my journals as well as a song or two...that's why I mentioned them
But I will insist that there is magick in that thar book fer those willing to stop listening to MEN and who start listening to GOD. There are answers and secrets...for those willing to seek them out and for those who READ it with an open mind...though I supose one of the first steps is in reading it.

Ezekiel 1:4-24 is a good one to read. Either Ezekiel was high on drugs or he had one heck of a vision.
Ezekiel 1:25 - 2:2
Oh yea the astral projecting. Ezekiel 11:1
The whole book reads like this.

Ezekiel 1:4-24 is a good one to read. Either Ezekiel was high on drugs or he had one heck of a vision.
And after all of that Ezekiel gets possessed by this spirit.I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north-an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal, and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures. In appearance their form was that of a man, but each of them had four faces and four wings. Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf and gleamed like burnished bronze. Under their wings on their four sides they had the hands of a man. All four of them had faces and wings, and their wings touched one another. Each one went straight ahead; they did not turn as they moved. Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a man, and on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle. Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out upward; each had two wings, one touching the wing of another creature on either side, and two wings covering its body. Each one went straight ahead. Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, without turning as they went. The appearance of the living creatures was like burning coals of fire or like torches. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it. The creatures sped back and forth like flashes of lightning. As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces. This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like chrysolite, and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel. As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not turn about as the creatures went. Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around. When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose. Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. When the creatures moved, they also moved; when the creatures stood still, they also stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was what looked like an expanse, sparkling like ice, and awesome. Under the expanse their wings were stretched out one toward the other, and each had two wings covering its body. When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty, like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.
Ezekiel 1:25 - 2:2
Then there came a voice from above the expanse over their heads as they stood with lowered wings. Above the expanse over their heads was what looked like a throne of sapphire, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD . When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking. He said to me, "Son of man, stand up on your feet and I will speak to you." As he spoke, the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.
Oh yea the astral projecting. Ezekiel 11:1
Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the gate of the house of the LORD that faces east.
The whole book reads like this.
Ezekiel is a good book to look at as well.
Yeah, I knew I was missing one of the better books but could not think of it. It's been nearly 15 years sinse I read the damned thing and even then I did it half-hearted & sparatic. (I did skip the BEGOT/BEGAT chapters). It was the Final Straw so to speak as to why I left the church (the fact it was Sountern Baptist likely did not help either).
I'd say I should re-read it but I ain't going back to "god". I just like to discus him sometimes (and oddly enough *scrolls up a few posts* stick up fer him?). I am more familiar with it then most of my Christian Friends (and sadly seemingly more then the last Minister I debated with) so all's good
