Hiya,

I started off studying astrology...but due to various reasons got led in another direction...The course I was doing was not, erm, what can I say helpful enough...mayo school uk...So I want to find a course that is really helpful and keeps my interest...do any of you have any links for the UK...

Also what is the best way to learn this subject..and at what point do you call yourself an "Astrologer"?

Also how and where did you all learn Tarot and Palmistry? If you have done...'

Regards...

It depends on what kind of astrologer you want to be, or are. If you are interested in looking at charts and telling 'fortunes' or futures, then you can pick up some books and study yourself. However, the depth and success of your career may not be as rewarding as you would like. For thousands of years astrology was rigorously studied in heavy academic atmospheres and from my experience, that is an excellent way to learn it. Nowadays, people want from an astrologer more than a forecast for the best days to play the lottery, and there are tons of astrologers out there who can offer indepth pychological consultations, karmic and past life understanding, inspiration for the future and just the feeling that you are not alone in times of hardship or transformation. In addition they can tell you the what king of clothes to wear and where your lost wallet was. If you can't offer all of those things you will be looked over.
There are numerous online colleges of astrology but in the Uk you have two of the best schools for astrology. Liz Greene is a leading pyschological astrologer and her school is heavily Jungian and pyschological:

Bath Spa offers an EXCELLENT Masters Program in astrology, if you are at that level.

Also, Kepler college, here in the US offers an excellent distance learning BA program in Astrological studies. Its awesome for formal training and perfect for young people who are not cool with the idea of gen. ed. classes at the local college.

Oh yeah, Kepler also offers a shorter 2 year AA program!!!!!!!!

Overall, there are many choices out there but if you are young (or young to astrology) a good "formal type" of education will yield amazing results. Good luck. and remember, each moment in time holds it's own unique possibility, and the power of a million stars being born.
