Question about the Testament of Solomon
Original post: Superscribe
Hi all, newbie here. Reffering to the Testament of Solomon, I think I read somewhere that actually a demon posing as the archangel Michael gave Solomon the ring, even naming the demon. Is that in the book because I think I missed something..
I'd appreciate any correspondence, thanks.

Scribe,
You think? you read something about a demon posing as Michael.
and then you ask if it was in "the book" because you think you missed something????
If you have the book why don't you look it up?

I've heard that two, but without going in and reading it, I couldn't tell you. Any idea where it is? I'm not familiar with the location in the book. If you are familiar with where it is... why not read it and find out?

Question about the Testament of Solomon
Original post: Reversewing
The actual passage is this :
And it came about through my prayer that grace was given to me from the Lord Sabaoth by Michael his archangel ( He brought me ) a little ring , having a seal consisting of an engraved stone , and said to me : "Take , O Solomon , King , Son of David , the gift which the Lord God has sent thee , the highest Sabaoth.. With it thou shalt lock up all demons of the earth , male and female ; and with their help thou shalt build up Jerusalem ( But ) thou ( must ) wear this seal of God. And this engraving of the seal of the ring sent thee is a Penalpha
Now Lord Sabaoth (sometimes Zebaoth) which did SEND Michael the Archangel is hardly a demon. Sabaoth means "host" or "army" and is a title of God.
Whenever God or the Divine is called upon to participade in battle (as the above , to battle demons ) it is done by the name "Lord Sabaoth".

Question about the Testament of Solomon
Source?
book?
Look. A demon could not use the name of God. He would be calling God to help him do something. YHVH would thwart him in a instant.
makes sense, no?
Peace.
