Has anyone ever seen these video documentaries? They are associated w/ the Ordo Templi Astartes. Does anyone have any info on them? The videos document goetic evocations, and the Dark Mirror of Magick documents a historic goetic evocation of Vassago, where he gives a prophecy and it comes true. I think they would be good to have to see temple/group workings, but what does everyone else think?

Those are the ones by Poke Runyon, right?
I have both of them on VHS but I have yet to watch The Dark Mirror of Magick. They're informative but hoakey. Well, at least the Magick of Solomon is. I'll have to watch the other one and get back to you.

yeah, i think they're by Poke Runyon. I'm interested in them b/c i'd like to see an actual goetic evocation done, so I can compare it to my own workings. They seem interesting, and there really aren't any others like that.

They were traded in at a record store I used to work at. I think the only reason they accepted them is because they knew I'd want them.

I wrote en extensive review of the Solomon DVD on the pre-hack OF. If someone can dig it up, feel free to post it again.
One strong feeling I had during the whole DVD is that the whole and only purpose of the DVD was to document that he has put a mirror in the triangle of art. Big deal. Apart from this silly ego of Poke, it's an OK production, informative and as far as I know, the only real recording of an actual CM ritual.
The conversation with the demons are dissappointing, most beginners get much more interesting results even during their first evokations.

I've never performed an evokation. As a matter of fact, I've only ever performed various pentagram and hexagram rituals as well as the middle pillar exercises. Much of the evokations I've read up on have been very vague.
Where would you suggest that I begin and to what ends?
