Having minor complaints

I've been practicing kundalini for...about a month or so now? but i really upped the 'dosage' of meditations etc recently sometimes mixing and matching the ones from books...at first resulting in some rather painful bowel movements and miscellaneous feelings here and there, but as of a few days ago i've felt my throat tighten up a lot without any prior cause or any possible effect, i've spoken to many occultists and a physician who said it was just 'something' without going into detail where as occultists said its a natural part of kundalini release because my 'neck/throat' chakras awakening or being cleansed of blocks. Any sort of idea who true/false this is? Because its becoming a bit worrying, i even put on some vapor rub to hopefully alleviate it but with no avail.
