I've done a search on this site for "body scanning", and nothing came up for what I was looking for. I would like to know about body scanning. Exactly what it is, some techniques on how to do it, and what I should expect (not the best word to use, but I can't think of another right now).
I haven't found very much info from various search engines. All I've found so far was this: "Psychic body scanning techniques help you experience colors, auras, energy fields and chakras inside or around individuals. These techniques can help in your existing healing work or can help you use positive psychic energy to enhance wellness in yourself and others."
Any help, information, experiences, ideas, are welcome and greatly appreciated.

you can start by hovering your hand over ones body and just pay attention to the energy you feel with your hand.. you will feel in some areas greater flows and in other smaller..
very simple and good way to start out.. from there on, it's generally up to you how to continue with it..
start simple and go with the flow, you'd be surprised what results you'd get by doing this..

--- The energy should be lightly stiring about around the person, but if you see anything like shadows,odd spinning or pulsing areas, or as if something almost not there is zipping about really fast darting from a certain place to place, then those areas have something out of whack...
--- Running the hands over the body also works, but I always take a good look to, that way you can be extra sensitive in the areas where you senced weired motion in the energy...

Whilst at University I was lucky to study under a guy called Tom Davies. As well as being excellent at teaching interesting subjects, he recounted a meeting he had with a BBC studio engineer with whom he had worked on a project at the Pebble Mill studios in the UK.
The engineer appeared, to all intents and purposes, as a straightforward and (I quote) quite boring man. But in the course of conversation he revealed that he belonged to a group of Mages and one of the things they did was to look at auras. Tom couldn't believe that such an "ordinary" person was into all of this and asked what his aura looked like. As a result of what the man said, Tom decided to make a few changes in his life, but puts down the experience as meeting a Jungian archetype in real life - a Wise Man.
Of course, I'd put meeting Tom down to the same archetype! The lesson I carried away from this and the rest of my studies about Jung was that if you start being aware of your facility of intuition (and not necessarily on a conscious level) then your perception of others and events can happen in strange ways, and I think auras are possibly a form of this.
