I read that jewlery help bring out the inner child, which helps promote the over-all success of your meditation and if you manifesting a shield.
Now my question, the site I read it from didnt say which kind. And I was wondering if gold braclets and a diamond ring is ok for wearing while shielding and/or during mediation

I use a Chakra Rosery that my Ex-wife made me fer X-mas this year. Each stone is suposed to help with it's assigned chakra point both according to color & attribute. (well, that or she is lying to me

I also have a ring for ritual work, it's silver with a star on it.

I have a malachite bracelet that I use for trance, and a quartz necklace that I wear at all times. The bracelet's main stones are said to assist in such things. The necklace was a gift from a dear friend (my ex again) and I just love it's vibrations.
There is a thread around here someplace that discusses the magical properties of stones, gems, and minerals...I'm not sure where (not on this board I don't think) but I'd love to hear of what other's have to say on this subject. Sorry I can not go into much detail about it...but that's because my current interests lie elsewhere and I've simply not read up on the matter deep enough to truly retain much of it. I have a few books but mainly just pull them out on a need to know basis.
Belief can be a powerful tool though, so at least in part, yes...anything can work.

[QUOTE=Manifesto]Now my question, the site I read it from didnt say which kind. Gold is a fantastic conductor of energy, while a diamond has properties similar to quartz (works with all chakraks and energy types, awakens crown chakra, focuses energy), yet these properties are amplified considerably as compared to quartz.

i would NEVER allow blood-diamonds anywhere near me... especially during ritual. there are some diamonds from countries that do not use diamond proceeds to fund genocide & do not use "slave" labor (canada, for example)... but most jewel quality diamonds reek of death as far as im concerned. some may want that influence in their lives/rituals -to me nothing could be more vile.

Certainly, I would hope that folks would try and find the background of something like a diamond, especially if they're educated to the fact that some are procured in such negative circumstances.
Understandably, however, there are some who have no control over where a diamond gift may have come from, or have not heard of some of these situations surrounding their mining.
Any item of jewelry could have some negative history, but it has been my experience that with a little work, that negativity can be washed a focus on love and hope toward a better future. It doesn't right the wrongs, but it wasn't the diamond's fault.

I own an use two pieces of jewelry:
I have a pendant that has a pentacle surrounded by the futhark (nordic runic system). When I wear it I feel silenced and most energy work is difficult to perform. On the plus side, I also feel no negative energy passing into my being. I almost think it just filters certain energy out or bounces it away. It's made out of sterling silver, nothing special.
I also have a hexagram of solomon that I will eventually use in my goetic workings, when I get around to it.

My guess is that the belief you put into them may help with your relaxation.

Now that I read about this stuff in here, some stuff makes sense... more or less since I bought a tiger's eye (stone, mind yourself :p) that I had this light and constant headaches for days. I know it isn't from external influences, cause, by circumstances beyond my control, I have an incredibly strong telepathic and empathic shield. Unless someone directs full blows to me, I never get hit by random thoughts in the air or energy of any kind. Also, I've already felt my crown chakra pulsing one of these days... I found it strange but really didn't think about it. And around 3 days ago, I had a almost lucid dream (almost cause I didn't want to control it).
Now, tiger's eye is a stone supposed to be connected with your third eye. Coincidences? After reading this topic and connecting stuff, I don't really know...

Malas (buddhist "rosaries") can be used in meditation to keep track of mantra. I don't find jewelry an issue at all unless it is so uncomfortable that it pulls me away from the breath, then I just remove it. I also find that when I am having a difficult time settling in to the breath that removing my glasses can be helpful to minimize environmental stimulation. Whatever works.
