First off, please forgive me if this is a bit out of context...
If at all possible, I'd like one of the Psions here to do an energy scan on me.
I'm trying to get to the bottom of why it is that spirits of the deceased make effort to avoid me. I've been wanting to get into spirit contact for quite some time, and as of yet have been almost totally unsuccessful. I know they're there, but they like to keep their distance.
Example #1: I went to a cemetery known for its "evil" vibe, one that has been called "active," even by some very scientific-minded folk. Upon going there, I didn't feel "evil," instead i felt calmness. A bit of apprehension on the part of the spirits, however... as if they accepted my presence, but were wary of it. I could feel that my companions and I were not alone, but the "others" felt far off in the distance, keeping a gap of about 50ft between us at all times.
Example #2: I was asked by a couple of guys to hold a seance at the dance studio they ran, as they had been experiencing some strange happenings. Upon doing so, i didn't accomplish much. Nothing really happened that didn't have a likely explination. The one exception was after we had finished and were holding conversation. I went to use the bathroom, when i heard the others say "Oh my God! Did you hear that?" I came out of the bathroom and i was questioned by them. After stating that i wasn't making any noises, we heard a "bang" come from an empty room adjacent to the room we were in. That was the last we heard of our spirit that evening. He obviously waited until i was gone to start anything, and i was the one leading the ceremony.
All help would be greatly appreciated. This whole issue is really putting a damper on my progress as an occultist. Thank you.

i kid. i'd say sit in the cematary again, on a bench (i'm very sure nearly ALL cematrys have benches) then call out to them and ask them for teh reason why they are avoiding you. (BUT MAKE SURE TO SHIELD YER SELF BIG TIME! i have known that some spirits like their peace and can/will do some nasty shit to those unguarded) try to convers with em. hell, you might even get some sinsight how your binding aura is like (i belvie that is teh correct name for that link that attaches your "spirit" to yer body.) oh, don't forget to ask how the proccess of death is,. BUT, finding a soul that is willing to give you that info is extremly rare, believe me, i've tried many graves, and cematry's. it's like they are told to not give such info to the living or something, cuz when i was studing the necromatic arts i had conversed with many spirits for info and just the normal chit chat. But every time i asked them how it is to go from the living to the dead and what happens during this, every single one of em just shut up and asked me to leave them in peace....i wounder if its THAT harsh to die....i am still gonna seek out some new graves when i feel taht this kinda info is very important. anyway.....i went way off for a bit there......ya, i say talk to em, see if ya can get some info, but one warning, never under-estamate the power fo teh dead..... :|

damn, do they really hang out at cemetaries? My only contact with the dead was meditating I met this indian boy, and he was "what d0 you want" and I was like "I don't know" and he left.

Why not ask yourself or soul search for the reason for this. I do that most often and than go to others and ask for their opinions...well I don't do the lattar as there really isn't anyone aroudn my area who I can talk to about things liek this...

Woah, that just made me remember something. I used to work in a nursing home where lots of people died, with an old Navajo woman of the red bottom clan, who considered herself able to see the dead. She said that it was important not to look strait at the dead, because it hurts them unless you are a child. Make of that what you will!

It probably has to do with how you're approaching these spirits. Are you attempting to find wisdom, or are you trying to be entertained? Spirits can sense your intentions. I'm just saying maybe you take a look at your approach to getting in contact with them. Patients and practice is probably your best bet.
