Dream Telepathy
Has anyone here somehow managed to not only share a dream with someone else, but communicate with them through it?
I'm asking because I had a dream last night, in which I think I may have done just that. This has happened at other times in the past.
Also, does anyone think that the time factor (as in, both of you sharing the same dream at the same time) would be irrelevant in such a situation? I mean, if time only exists as a function of our conscious minds/brains/psychic censor/whatever, could the other person dream this communication at another time? If you get what I mean.

I've done it...several times in fact.
I used to concentrate on my best friend before I'd go to sleep then dream of him. Then once I'd start dreaming I'd normally see him and then mess with him as if it was his dream. I'd talk in cryptic messages and do odd things. I'd normally do this on Thursday or Friday as, at the time, we'd generally hang out on the weekend. He'd tell me he had the ODDEST dreams with me.
While I was married my ex-wife & I used to share dreams as well...normally after GREAT sex (I guess I'd subconsciously concentrate on her before sleep).
I've not tried doing it in years...I'm working on dreaming again though, so maybe I can keep ya posted.

That sounds similar to something I've been trying. It also sounds similar to a section of book called 'The Satanic Witch' by Anton Lavey, where he explains how a witch can cause a man to feel sexually drawn to her through using sexual energy, in a spell cast while the man is sleeping. Interesting techniques, but this has nothingto do with telepathy. Just a pointless anecdote. Oh God I'm so tired..........

i have had a few shared dream experiences but the strangest one i have had with something like this was when i woke to an EXCRUITIATING pain in my big toe (sounds funny i know) and i got up to see if i could walk or not - i screamed out waking my roomate who then called out to see if i was ok, and i told him i couldn't walk - he then thanked me for waking him saying that he had just had a horrible dream where his toe (same one) was split in half - sliced down to the bone (but he couldn't feel it) - needless to say i went back to sleep, woke up a couple hours later and felt no pain whatsoever.

That's odd - what kind of relationship did you have with this roommate? Was it intens and close?

well we have been best friends for years....
and yes, it was "odd"!!
especially since i didn't dream of anything (usually i have extremely lucid dreams - almost every night) that i recollect - but felt his pain - whilst he couldn't feel any pain in his dream.

Perhaps he unconsiously shifted that pain to you. Anyhow it is weird how his toe being sliced i half in dream should make your toe hurt. I just thought of another possibility. You could have unconsciously drawn in the pain to spare him from it.

It does to some extent but not alot and it's not all too common a practice *wink* Anywho, try running some searches on dreamwalking, tis the most commonly used name for dream telepathy. Generally dreams are not that great for communication as we don't remember them well (or most of us) but if you did, I'd suggest a time where you know they wouldn't be awake but close to when they would so it may be fresh in their mind when they did wake up. I did striptease in a dreamwalking experience at that time and it was remembered and described in great detail but of course that may have been due to the sexual nature of it.

Wow - dreamwalking eh? If you could suggest some sites or books that would be great. I'm more interested in people doing this simply through controlling thier dreams (or unintentionally), rather than as an actual Astral projection exercise. But all the saem, this dreamwalking business is something I'll have to look into.

Well I believe there's an article on PsiPog.net (Will have to check) but from my own experiences, a very simple technique to try to get in someone elses dreams is to focus on them as much as possible while trying to get to sleep. PLay whatever message you wish to send them over and over in your head while trying to go to sleep as well. If you're experienced with telepathy (The kind you do while both parties are awake

Thanks for that - but how important is it that the other person is asleep at the same time? I think it would be essential, but if you have other ideas, I'd like to know.

Well I don't think it's nessessary for the other person to be asleep at the same time. Once you get away from the physical realm, time has no meaning.

Yes but of course the whole 'dreams take place in the astral' thing is very debatable. But generally if they were not asleep you could use a construct or something and just set a trigger or implant the message into their subconcious or summat so that it'd 'hit them' when they conked out. But it's generally easier and what not when you know they're asleep. In my experience, you yourself don't have to be asleep to influence their dreams but if you want to actually take part in theirs and share it, a telepathic link and what not would be usefu
