Benefactors

Post by Madavascus »

I've noticed there's a member group called "Benefactors". I'm assuming this title goes to those members who make some sort of monetary donation to the administration of the forum, and so I'd like to know how we can become a benefactor for the forum. [smile]

That's undecided as yet, I'm thinking of people who make non-monetary contributions, like people who post lots of insightful, helpful information. But it's not clear as yet, on occultforums.com it was for retired moderators, and came with full moderator powers.

It's still undecided, but I'd love to hear some thoughts on it.

If the forum requires monetary donations to stay afloat, it may be a good idea to find a way to recognize those that donate to the cause. It sounds a little vain when you think about it, but it's often a way websites, forums and other online organizations show their gratitude to those that make financial contributions to ensure its survival.

Of course if your running costs are not so high, you might as keep to your idea of making the Benefactor title available to those that make significant non-monetary contributions to the forums. [smile]
