So many people joining up, posting in the intro forum, then never contributing again?
I've noticed this the last week or two, every day we have 2 - 4 new people sign up and post an introduction, then 9 times out of 10 we never hear from them again. Why sign up in the first place?
I dunno, just wondering if anyone has some insight into this phenomenon.

Yeah, Ive noticed this too. Its gotten to the point that Im wondering if its worth even replying to their intro posts. Maybe we need to get them to sign some sort of pledge saying 'I promise I will post at least three things before I disappear again'... [eg]

Re: What's up with...
The forum is growing steadily,it may be slow growth, but it's there.
Long gaps between intros and thread posting happen with some folks, others like to lurk even when logging in regularly and yet others are single issue members, those who post about a particular area/subject then drop off once they have answers/resolution etc....We attract all types of folks and it's worth waiting to see if new members will become active. Two weeks is not that long a gap,IMO.
I don't think forcing posting is healthy and we don't want to push away the more shy or nervous of newbies either.Meh.
