This torrent contains the complete works of the experiment known as Dr. Tropikal, along with added media and artwork; an approximate total of 70 tracks, 3.1 hours of music, 434.3 MB (including media). Included are a number of never before heard B-sides, remixes & rare tracks to boot.
Dr. Tropikal has ranged over several electronic musical styles, sometimes in the span of a single track, for close to 3 years now; drum & bass, old-school dubstep, intelligent dance, experimental electronica, glitch, psychedelic, and some genres which are more difficult to pinpoint. It has almost always struck a chord with the genre deviant, occultists and psychonauts, and for this, we'll leave on the note of calling it a success, perhaps something that may inspire future producers to think outside the box. Hopefully this collection will go down in obscure history as a refuge for abstract thinkers and druggies looking for their wave-form kicks. I am confident to say that nothing might ever sound exactly like this material again. But 'Ol DT has had enough, and he's ready to tackle something else - for good.
A more complete collection could not be asked for, with all tracks being re-mastered using the state of the art 5.1 Waves Mastering Suite, even the old, tape-sounding, over-driven shit, which not much can be done for besides creating a seamless quality and volume, despite the electronic-garage-band sound.
