Ancient Protection Symbols

Post by draguakale »

I bought a house, and I want to contact the unseen. I have a ghost, and I want to talk to him but make sure that something that intends harm will try to use my divination tool to open up a portal. So I thought about putting protection sigils, and other symbols on my door frame and window frames in my blood. What would be some good protection symbols and sigils? I plan on making a sigil to protect my house in general, but I want to bolster it.

Pentagrams are powerful protection symbols, but its a bit over the top to draw them in blood. Salt also acts as a powerful deterrant if placed across windowsils and door jams. If youre really serious about protecting your home against supernatural attack, draw pentagrams in vinegar or water on the windows and run a line of salt across the whole windowsill. If you have any external doors in your room then repeat the process for the doors too - pentagram on the door, line of salt across where it opens, just inside the room so that the movement of the door doesnt break the line. Dont go overboard on the salt - all you need is a thin, continuous line, not an entire bag of salt on every window.

Hope this helps. [grin]

You could also get a sharpie or a glow in the dark marker that can't be seen in regular light and draw your protective symbols above the door jambs and windows.

I would smudge before you salt to make sure that you don't trap anything in with your symbols. Sage, sweetgrass, cedar, there's a bunch of different things that you can use.

I agree that the blood thing at this point is going over the top.

If you want to communicate with a ghost that already resides there you don't need to open a portal.
