Book list
Book list
Hello guys,
Since I already saw a new thread where book recommendations were asked....
Couldn't we make a main thread with some good book recommendations ordered by topic? I guess it would make things easier and we wouldn't have to repost everytime all the things. How about it?

Re: Book list
Or maybe turn a good thread into a sticky?
I like the idea of making it easily accessible and all in one place.

Re: Book list
I love this idea, but it may require some kind of 'focus'?
Not really a lot of room to organize a library on single thread.

Re: Book list
What Mavus said.
It's a good idea Ramscha and I meant to respond earlier but admin stuff has kept me busy in the interim,so sorry for that.
The resources thread got clogged with conversation and went quite far off topic and I would not want that to happen with any new resource threads,so focusing and keeping it only for books and information about them is an important factor.
I'll be available all weekend so we can get this off the ground.Further ideas and input on this are very welcome too [thumbup] .

Re: Book list
Well, a ban for discussion would be good if we want to keep it for box.
The thing is, do we want to do a closed thread where simply a list of books and links is listed or do we want an open thread where we make introductions by ourselves?

Re: Book list
I can make a thread or a folder for this, maybe we could have a resources folder and have a book thread in it with several threads for online and other resources too?
I can split out conversation and off topic posts should they occur and I can put a 'rules for posting here' notice up in it,outlining the need for only recommendations and a short descriptive paragraph if you wish to have one.
Sound good so far?

Might be my fault,or could be glitchy tech stuff.I'll ask Vashta about this and hopefully soon it'll be sorted.

Re: Book list
I can't get the posting permissions to stay altered on the form, they submit alright and show it as done but It's reverting back to default after I exit the admin forms and log back in again.
