yo

Post by Taeo »

Hello,

My name is Joshua and I am looking forward to participating in this forum. I don't really have any idea of what to expect during my time here, but from what lurking has revealed it ought to be interesting.

I have been a student of the Art for a long time and a practitioner for half as long, approximately. I was introduced to the occult in my youth, about when I was six or seven, and it has stuck with me well into it. I'm interested in most aspects of it, with emphasis on correspondences and symbolism.

Philosophically I am an animist. I believe that all knowledge is present in the structures, forms and processes of the universe and this world. Everything has something to share, something to teach and the key to learning is paying attention to and learning the languages of the things we interact with and observe.

I hope that my time here is beneficial, and I look forward to learning with and from 'you all'.

Thank you.

[smile]

Welcome taeo!

I'm new here myself but I think you'll enjoy the atmosphere here. I'm also new to the occult so I don't have much to offer, but sounds like there's lots to be learned from you.

Thank you!

It's good to hear that I am not the only new blood to this forum. From what I have read, I think you're right. This forum has a sense of friendship and diversity that is very good to see and I hope that I am able to contribute to that.

I've been reading as many threads as I can, and the one you posted about understanding magick really stood out to me. It was one of the main reasons why I decided to join this forum. Knowledge and experience are good in that they give us references to call upon as we explore and encounter new situations in life, but I think that good questions are more valuable. They enable innovative exploration and introduce concepts and ideas. They can revealing things that had been previously overlooked. After all, even to the most learned person every new experience is an unknown to be explored.

Well Met. I'd lurked thru a number of forums before finding this one. I too received a warm hearth feel to the place. I've found the 'Elders' do well to keep the forum in check without much effort (it seems) and at the same time flowing with great information and insight.

Ask about anything and you'll get good info.
