Greetings,
I have come to Occult Forum in order to learn from others, as well as exchange ideas and information pertaining to occult arts, mainly psychicism/psionics and "spirit communication" or mediumship. Right now, I am a student in the following occult fields:
- Mediumship (Doreen Virtue course)
- Flying Phoenix Chi Kung (from what DVDs I can find of it, mainly by Grandmaster Doo Wei; hope to find a teacher)
- Spirit Keeping (self taught)
- Angel Magick (Doreen Virtue course)
- Spiritual Alchemy (self taught)
Once I have mastered these fields, I hope to become a student of:
- Telekinesis
- Bilocation
- Clairvoyance
...and other psychic practices.
I have been a part of a Gurdjieff work group for the past year, then relocated. There appears to not be one in my area, so I may start one. I will announce this for anyone who is interested when I am able.
I have been here only a short time, yet have learned a lot from the members here, and hope to learn more.
A little bit about the non-occult aspects of myself...I am a 21 year old female college student living in the United States. Non occult subjects I study include philosophy, ballet, and art.
Favorite band/Musician: Ludovico Einaudi
Favorite Book: In Search Of The Miraculous by P.D. Ouspensky
Favorite Color: White
Well, I think that's enough of an introduction. Thank you all for having me here and I hope to learn and grow by being here, and help other seekers along as well.

Re: A Late Introduction
I'm happy that you made an introductory post. I think ballet is an excellent precursor to occultism. It shows that you have a knack for self-discipline and setting long-term goals. Flexibility also helps your energies flow better. So, how did you first get involved in the wonderful world of occultism?
If you want to become clairvoyant, I've heard working with tattwa cards is a good way. On the other hand, Initiation into Hermetics by Franz Bardon would give you just about everything you want on that list and more (direct connection to God!). I once heard that the Astral Dynamics guy Robert Bruce completed Initiation into Hermetics.

Re: A Late Introduction
Involvement in occultism came quite naturally to me, as I have always believed in energies and influences that cannot be seen with the naked eye (at least not ordinarily). Why? Well, because I have seen things since childhood...things that "are not there". It started with "imaginary friends", lots of them, but as I progressed into adulthood, they never went away. One day during my childhood, one just appeared on my bed, sitting cross legged...then another. My doctor has diagnosed me with schizophrenia, which is normally looked upon as a bad thing, but I view it as a blessing, for without it, my belief system would likely be entirely different. And who knows, the things I see - or the things many schizophrenics see, in some theories - could be interdimensional communications or beings. Strangely, before I even knew of the occult power of names, I refused to give anyone the names of these creatures without their consent, because I knew somehow that then I would be giving away their power.Frumens wrote:I'm happy that you made an introductory post. And thank you very much for the recommendation, I will definitely give Bardon a look, as well as tattwa cards.

I would bet good money that Franz Bardon will give you results ten times faster than Doreen Virtue.TheAwakenedHeart wrote:Involvement in occultism came quite naturally to me, as I have always believed in energies and influences that cannot be seen with the naked eye (at least not ordinarily).
