The Forum Staff, Roles and Responsibilities

Hi there,

Just thought I'd take a moment to detail exactly who you should speak to if you have a problem here, what each of us do on the forum, our roles and our responsibilities, seeing as there have been a few changes over the last year or so now...

ADMINISTRATORS

Admin staff are basically in charge of the overall running of the forum, and ensure that the forum continues to operate smoothly and without infighting or friction. It's easier to think of them as being sort of an extended global moderator who can change the overall physical structure of the forum, including assisting in the creation of accounts, disabling accounts, and maintaining the technical aspects behind the scenes. Administrators should be approached if you have a problem with a moderator, if you have a technical difficulty, or if you want to discuss something that requires a physical change to the actual platform that the forum runs on. Currently, there are three administrators, and we all do slightly different things.

Stukov - who is basically the head moderator, and ensures that the Forum Rules and Terms & Conditions are followed, and we don't end up with anti-social behaviour and excessive drama.

Clockwork_Ghost (Me) - who does all the technical fixes but doesn't moderate the forum in any way, unless an obvious breach has been made, then I simply lock threads, split threads, or remove elements of a post. I'm the one you come to if you need your email address changed, you get flagged as a spammer, or you need something changed such as your screen name, or your account disabled so you can't use it any more.

Vashta - who owns the forum, and has the absolute final say in everything. I go to Vashta if I can't fix something myself, and Stukov is answerable to Vashta. Think of Vashta as being a god - he might not take much part in what goes on here, but he is watching.

GLOBAL MODERATORS

Global moderators ensure that everything runs smoothly, and sort out any issues as they arise. They monitor the Moderator Queue, which is basically all the posts that get reported, and they make decisions as to how to handle any dispute. They are also your first point of contact if you have any problems with anything regarding the forum whatsoever. The global moderators are as follows:

Nahemah
cyberdemon
Stukov

Notice how Stukov is a Global Moderator as well as an Administrator, while Vashta and I are not? That's because Stukov is also a part of the moderation team, while Vashta and I only really deal with the technical side.

BENEFACTORS

Benefactors are forum members who have shown extreme dedication and devotion to the forum as a whole, and have been rewarded with Benefactor position. Benefactors can moderate the forum if they wish to do so, but don't have to do so. Pretty much all the benefactors have moved on, or don't post on the forum any more, but are welcome back at any time.
