Jodorowsky's Dune

Just saw this documentary about the never made Dune by Jodorowsky and I found it very interesting.

For those who don't know him, Jodorowsky is a sort of modern renaissance man. He probably has work in every art form, but is most known for his theater plays, movies and comic books. He is a self proclaimed psicomage, and his work has references to a lot of mystical symbology including tarot and magic.

This movie had everything to be great, a great cast, great music, and great visual art. He recruited a team of "Spiritual Warriors" and together they worked on creating a film that would push the world to a new understanding.
This strikes me as an Alchemic endeavor, the transmutation of the world.

Although it might sound megalomaniac, don't let that push you away and give it a chance. He is an incredible person to listen. He talks about his vision and work with such vitality, that you can't help to feel pumped up as well.

If you like cinema, science fiction or him, definitely check this out.

The relations future films had to his vision of Dune is uncanny.

A very magical man. A very magical crew.

I mean.... Dali? hahaha

I recommend this to anyone who likes movies.
